Freund Retires After Fifty Years March 28 marks an im­ portant day for Walter J. Freund, Sr., of McHenry, his family and host of friends. It is the day he will retire from his business, known as the McHenry Tire Mart, after fifty years of service to the com­ munity. Mr. Freund started his business at 3931 Main street on March 28, 1922, dealing in tire sales and service. The business now will be conducted by his son, Roger, who has worked with his father for the past twenty years. Mrs. Olive Freund will assist her son in the bookkeeping department, as she did her husband.
