"The comments in her letter aren't the kind of thing we like to hcai hat a thorough in vestigation* of the matter reveals that she was correct in much of what was said. "It was with great an ticipation that the film "RA Expedition" was scheduled for the McHenry theatre because here was truly a family film of great merit. It was not available through the normal channels and the theatre was rented to the distributors of the film for the one night showing. The manager of the theatre on the night in question, in his anxiety to admit some of the people waiting in the cold outside for the second showing made the judgement error of turning up the house lights and closing the stage curtain at a point he believed was the end of the film. As indicated in her letter, the feature had not yet finished and the closing scenes were projected against the stage curtain. "Regarding the other disturbances referred to, it should be noted that most of the audience was composed of young people accompanied by adults. Ushers were provided and everything possible was done to keep order, but it is a fact that few parents will admit to their children misbehaving and it is always the others who are at fault. "Be that as it may, I feel that Arline Seebach and her party are entitled to see a movie in the right circumstances and properly presented so that it may provide the enjoyment intended. "An invitation is herewith extended to her and her guests to a movie of her choice anytime between now and April 30, 1972. She should make herself known to the manager so that she may take advantage of this offer. We regret any inconvenience caused by the above incident and hope to continue to merit her patronage, and that of all the other theatre goers in this area. Very truly yours, "H.C.
