CONDOLENCES Shortly after being released from the hospital, Mrs. Ray Biesecker received word that her son, Raymond Roeske, 55, d Chicago had passed away. He and his wife, Dorothy had two sons, Raymond and Lance Cpl. Martin Roeske. BIRTHDAYS Best wishes are being sent to Michael Lund who will be a big 2 years old on April 10 and to Florence Mix who will be celebrating her birthday on April 18, here's hoping both the above have a very happy day. See you next week Woodstock Youth Wins Appointment To West Point • It was announced this week by the office of Congressman Robert McClory (R-ILL.) that David H. Kristensen, son cf Mr. and Mrs. Harold L. Kristensen, 115 Fremont street, Woodstock, has won an ap­ pointment to the United States Military academy at West Point for the class beginning in July of this year. David Kristensen is a 1971 graduate of St. John's Military academy, and has recently completed a course at Nor­ thwestern Preparatory school in Minneapolis. Young Kristensen is the third 12th district candidate to be chosen by the Army Academy for admission this year. It is hoped that additional can­ didates will be selected within the next month.
