Elm McHenry Hospital Plans For Observance Of Special Week The two roles of Memorial hospital - a place to care for the sick and a modern facility to keep people healthy- will be expanded on during the county- wide hospital's participation in National Hospital Week May 7- 13. Theme for this 1972 ob servance takes a positive message to every health care consumer (and that includes everyone!) "We Want You...in the Picture of Health." National Hospital Week observance has become an annual tradition, one launched fifty-two years ago by the American Hospital association. "The public will have a chance to learn more about health care and especially about the special services we offer at Memorial Hospital for McHenry County as we observe comes those on April 22 who are Darre 11 Barker, Bob Beaman and Billy Bob Beaman who will be 6. The best of wishes to all of you. ANNIVERSARY Congratulations and may life hold the best for you, Clara and Jerry Tonyan, as you celebrate the happy day on April 16, and may we extend the same wishes to Dolly and Dick Malsh who will celebrate their day on April 22. to the hospital Bert this salute across the nation" said Hanson, administrator. "Our expansion during the past year with the addition of more beds and more special facilities helps emphasize the rapidly-changing role of hospitals. "Certainly we fulfill the traditional dedication to more sick people become healthy, but we also provide the framework with staff, equip ment and facilities to keep people healthy." Growth of the out-patient service is one example of this steadily-growing broadened approach to health care ser vice. Conduct of the pre-natal series of free classes for both expectant parents is another. Rapidly-growing physical therapy department with its skilled people and its variety cf equipment is a third example of how Memorial hospital strives to keep its citizenry in "the picture of health." National Hospital Week observance will begin at Memorial hospital a day earlier-on Saturday, May 6- with the presentation of a flag to the hospital by the Wood stock VFW. Commander Fred Douglass and his Americanism chairman will participate in the ceremony Saturday morning. The VFW has made a similar presentation for the past several years. A ser ies erf informational news stories will serve as one method to inform the public of the flow of changes at Memorial hospital which im- e o e o e o e o e o e o e o e o e o o • • THE WORLD OF o • ENTERTAINMENT* o • e o e o e o e o e o e o e o e o e o WHAT'S UP, DOC? "It is in this area of personal interest that we are so proud- our 290 employees never forget the person who is in the focus of the picture to assure good health-the patients who come to us for help."
