ECOLOGY WEEK - McHenry Junior high school students are ' shown planting a tree on the Kane avenue property in observance of Ecology Week. They have already planted a Mountain Ash and a Red Bud tree for Arbor day, Friday, and also will plant several different kinds of flower seeds, a bush and seeding. Money for the Trees and bushes was raised by the Student Council. Science class members will clean up the school grounds as well during the week. A poster contest is now in progress throughout the district, with a prize going to the winner in each grade. PLAINDEALER PHOTO Deaths MAE M. BUCHERT Mrs. Mae M. Buchert, 73, of 5505 Kenosha street, Rich mond, died Tuesday morning, April 25, in Harvard hospital. For twenty-eight years she had assisted her son, Robert J., in the operation of Hunter Country club, Richmond. Mrs. Buchert was born Aug. 4, 1898, in Durand, 111., daughter of Olaf and Sopronia Potter Pederson. The deceased was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, Grace Lutheran church, the Legion auxiliary and .the Lotus club of Rich mond. She was married to Otto H. Buchert, who died Jan. 11,1965. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Virgene) Zarn- storff of Richmond and Mrs. Harold (Mary Lou) Pacey of Pearl City, 111.; two sons, Harry L. and Robert J. of Richmond; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four brothers, Clayton and Wesley of Phillips, Wis., Glenn of Tucson, Ariz., and Frank of Barrington. Two daughters, Beulah and Helen, two sisters and five brothers preceded her in death. The Rev. Richard Munson, pastor of Grace Lutheran church, will officiate at last rites to be held at 2 o'clock Friday in the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is resting at the B u c h e r t r e s i d e n c e . Arrangements were made by the Ehorn-Adams funeral home.
