Local Woman Receives Girl Scout Badge Mrs. James Smart of Dundee was elected president of the Sybaquay Girl Scout council at its annual meeting in Elgin April 27. The business meeting, chaired by Mrs. Clifford An­ dersen, outgoing president, included committee reports, an open forum for delegates and guests, and the election. Elected to serve with Mrs. Smart are Mrs. John Hickman, Barrington, and Mrs. Grant Swick, Bartlett, as first and second vice-presidents, respectively. Elected to the board of directors were Mrs. John Lynch, Cary; Theodore Eichler and Mrs. Frank Kilgore, Dundee; Mrs. Ronald Mack, Sycamore; Mrs. Donald Conway, Crystal Lake and Richard Seisser, Elgin. Twenty-three Senior Girl Scouts were welcomed into adult scouting by Mrs. Wm. Lewis, Program Services chairman, at a special g r a d u a t i o n p r o g r a m . Recognition was also given to the Senior Scouts who planned and organized the council-wide river clean-up service project P.F.R. and P.K.R. In addition, those girls who had par­ ticipated in national events during the past year told about their experiences at these events. The special "Thanks" badge was presented to five members for outstanding service to the organization.
