Doherty d-b-a- Doherty's Trucking Company has filed with the Illinois Commerce Com mission, under and by virtue of The Illinois Motor Carrier of Property Act, as amended, an application for Extension of Existing Operating Authority as a Common Carrier to include transportation of the following additional commodities: none within the territory or over routes as follows: Additional territory from thirty (30) mile radius of McHenry , Illinois to Original Play To Be Presented r • At County College The Blackwatch Players of McHenry County college wfll present "Meine Lisbeth" for their spring production at MCC on May 5, 6 and 7. This is the first time the Blackwatch Players have produced a play written by a student. Lorie Odegaard, a student at MCC, wrote "Meine Lisbeth". The play is a study of two kinds of strength, that found in an authoritative, very masculine man, and that found in the gentleness of a feminine woman. Lorie studied writing procedures under Marian Gilbert of Authors' and Publishers' Service and with Scott Meredith Literary Agency, both of New York City. She would like to teach English Literature or Dramatic History. If "Meine Lisbeth" is well received by audiences, she hopes to continue writing plays. To Lorie, the production of a play is an "ensemble" affair. The playwright takes the initial step in writing it, but once it meets the technical demands of the theatre, a play becomes the responsibility of the director and the actors. She says, "The success of a play depends upon cooperative efforts, mutual respect, and many combined talents, each one indispensable to the finished product."
