Love her and take care of her and she will remain loyal for life, abuse her and. well, let's not find out....! Helping Paws makes it a practice not to place any animal which seems to have a bad fault which might en danger any family These apply to strays turned in by the community or county These strays are kept at a volunteer s home or at a vet's. They are very honest as to whether a dog or cat can be placed. After all, we wouldn't be serving the community as a public service if we did not go by these rules on placing animals So please, if you can spare a little love, cast it on these lonely strays who have been turned out to face life alone and hungry with no home but most of all no LOVE to warm the heart Invite Public To Program Of One-Act Plays "Simple Notions" is a program of one-act plays to be presented Thursday, May 18 (not Friday, May 12, as previously scheduled) at 8 p.m. in the McHenry West campus auditorium The plays,v per formed by two students of West campus, Nancy Van Kanegan and Alex Thomas, revolve around a theme concerning communication and its various stages of development. In the first play, "A Storm is Breaking", by Jim Damico, the characters propose a view, idea or feelings to share with one another. The characters are a young businessman and a small boy. The man comes to meet the boy while he is walking and accidentally comes close to killing an ant which the boy, for some reason, is intent on protecting The second one-act, "Wisp in the Wind." is by Jack Cun ningham The characters successfully share an idea but fail themselves because they lack the understanding to use their newly found discoveries. The characters, a young man and a girl, meet in a deserted railway station early one morning The girl challenges the man by questioning him, and the man in turn challenges the girl. Through their questioning, the man comes to realize that he shares the girl's doubts and a solution seems possible but the girl runs away, leaving th^man alone with his realization of his lacking In "The Case of the Crushed Petunias" by Tennessee Williams, the characters share their feeling and together manage to find a truth A young spinster has barricaded her house and her heart behind a double row of petunias and young man crushes those petunias in order to free her heart and open her mind Because of the nature of these plays and the manner in which they are put together, all audience members will be invited to meet the students in a "Green Room" to be held in the cafeteria directly after the performance This will allow the students and audience a chance to further share the experience of the play There is no admission charge I With the presentation I of this coupon, a 20% SAVINGS will be given with the I purchase of a CARR | CUSTOM "WOOD" kitchen cafrinets.
