Gift To Hospital The auxiliary to McHenry hospital has used part of its $15,210 commitment to pur chase equipment for the hospital to buy an aquamatic K- thermia unit, Mrs. John Mrs. Aliegra Revak, R.N., purchasing agent for McHenry hospital, shows features of an aquamatic K-thermia unit to Mrs. John Kelsey, president of the auxiliary to the hospital. This unit, part of a $15,210 gift commitment in the form of equipment, was announced this week by Mrs. Kelsey. (DON PEASLEY PHOTO) Kelsey, auxiliary president, has announced. Other gifts as part of this investment in the care and welfare of patients at McHenry hospital will be announced as they are pressed into service. The aquamatic K-thermia unit is designed to either raise or lower the patient's tem perature. For example, if a person is admitted because of exposure to cold-such as falling through the ice in Organic, Natural or Health Food? Most consumers would be hard pressed to say what the differ ences are between the various specialty foods now on the mark et. Or, for that matter, how spe cialty foods differ from regular or conventional foods. No formal, legal definitions have been established, but spe cialty food producers are in gen eral agreement that: -- Natural foods are products marketed without preservatives, emulsifiers or artificial ingredi ents in order to provide consum ers with an alternative to conven tional foods which may contain additives and preservatives; -- Organic foods are essentially the same as natural foods, except that "organic" implies greater care of soils and plant environ ment to exclude pesticides and artificial chemicals; -- Health foods, different from winter-the patient would be placed between two pads of the equipment to raise the tem perature slowly back to nor mal. If a child or adult has an extremely high temperature, as another example of the equipment's use, it would be adjusted to decrease the temperature to normal. Mrs. Kelsey said the aquamatic K- thermia unit is designed to register the temperature and thermostatically regulate it^ Tasty -Topic Sausage-Peanut Ptlaf 1 pound fresh pork sausage 1 cup finely sliced celery Vt cup chopped onion 1 cup cooked rice 1 can (10% ounces) con densed cream of mushroom soup V« cup chopped green pepper % cup salted peanuts 6 to 8 stuffed green olives, sliced Cook sausage until lightly browned.
