HOST SILLY SUPPER - Pictured above, left to right are'Susan Honning, Cynthia Gildemeister, and Darlene Campbell enjoying the organized recreation which followed a silly supper hosted for the youth at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, 404 North Green street, McHenry, Sunday. One farmer now supplies food for "himself and 50 other per sons, which is 3 times the number fed by each farmer 20 years ago. U.S. farmers are the most efficient producers of food in the world. This efficiency was forced on them because of sharply increasing farm costs. MARRIAGE LICENSES William M. Swanson, 3210 Sunrise View, McHenry, and Janet A. Wyse, 52 Kent, Crystal Lake. Cecil D. HERBICIDES When filling spray tanks, don't put the hose deep in the tank. Cut a bracket on top of the tank to hold the hose. Be sure to have positive shut off valves and be alert so you don't let herbicides siphon from the spray tank back into a well. Prevention is much better than cure. The Luther League or Youth group at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, 404 North Green street, McHenry, held a silly supper Sunday* evening. The twenty-six members of the senior Confirmation class were guests of the league for the evening. The teen-agers were presented highly misleading menus from which they ordered a four-course meal by number. The tableware was among the items listed on the menu and if these items were not ordered in proper order the participant had none. Some members of the group unknowingly ordered their desserts first. The rule of the evening was that each person had to eat each course completely as it was served. Indigestion was the name of the game. Organized recreation followed the silly supper. Sponsors for the Luther league include James and Marilyn Kinder, Harold and Shirley Kivley, Mike and Candi Benjamin and Pastor and Rosemary Schneider.
