The oc­ casion for the trip was the fifty- fifth Lions International Convention which was held in Mexico City. In Mexico City, the University, the Shrine of Guadalupe and a glass-nu factory were among the mt attractions they visited wl sight seeing. After the convention Mexico City the Bottari family followed the sun to Acapulco where they did a lot of swim­ ming and enjoyed the tropical weather and flowers. Sure sounds like they had a fabulous vacation. WEDDING BELLS The very best wishes go to Sandra Ann Dawson and Allen C. Etten who were married Saturday, July 1. The wedding took place in St. Patrick's Catholic church with the Rev. Edmund Petit officiating. Mrs. Carl (Renee) Krohn of Round Lake attended the bride as matron of ( honor. Bridesmaids were Evejyn Carbrian of Barrington, "Ddlphine Wisniewski of McHenry and Nancy Dawson, the bride's sister. Donald Etten of Ringwood served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Kenneth Etten of Ringwood, David Guzzardo of McHenry and David Dawson of McHenry, the bride's brother. Serving as ushers were Frank Dawson of Beloit and James Etten of Ringwood. Sandra is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Dawson of Lakeland Park and Allen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Etten of Ringwood. After they return from a honeymoon trip to Wisconsin, the young couple will reside in McHenry. # BIRTHDAY PARTY The Heurer household was a busy place last week when the Heurers celebrated little Beth JoAnn's first birthday July 2., There was a large crowd of family, neighbors and friends on hand to wish Beth JoAnn many happy returns. Beth's brother, Georgie, and sister, Kristie, wished her happy birthday as did grandma and grandpa Bertucci and Godfather, Jim Cox. Other well wishers were her Aunt Merrily Heurer, Uncle Dennis Heurer, Aunt Carol Peplin, Uncle Lennie Peplin, Aunt Ruth and Uncle Johnnie Cox. Other friends and neighbors who helped make her birthday a joyous occasion are Herb and Joanne Lakemacher, Jr.; Sue Smolinski; Linda, Dave, and Carol Marzullo; June, Kirby, Scott and Michelle Fish; and Janis, Greg and Terry Mapes and Arthur Olsen. There was plenty of cake and good food and a great time was had by all. Merrily Heurer is staying with the Heurer family for most of the summer and she is en­ joying her vacation in Lakeland Park. July 16 is a red letter day for Jamie Patterson and Stephanie Rae Worth.
