PAC5F A-DI AINDF AI re-WE D NESD/V, AUGUST 9,1972 4-H Newsi CHERRY VALLEY CLUB The last meeting was held at Judy Calvin's home. Among items of business was recognition of a gift from Mrs. George Frohn and a discussion about the Aug. 13 trip to Springfield. We are going to have a bake sale and car wash for our trip. Lora and Susie Schiller told us about their trip to 4-H camp. Health talks were then given by Dawn Timbermman, Don Limbaugh and Sue Deskes. The last thing we did was to discuss our project. 1 On our project tour, the first place we stopped was at the Hoag home. The dog exhibit was first. Elaine Limbaugh, Sue Deskes and Jeff Stout all showed their dogs. We then took a look at the small engines shown by Andy Hoag and Dale Deskes. Julie Hoag then showed us her candles. At the Shmul home, Bill, Robin and Dale Shmul showed their horses. Bill told us about gun safety and we looked at the photography shown by Robin, Dale and Bill. The next stop was at the Schiller home. Linda Schiller showed us how to trim a horse. Susie Schiller showed how to groom a horse and both in structed on how to saddle the animal. The last stop was at the Timbermman residence. A pleasure class was shown by Bonnie Stout, Terri Stout, Dale Timbermman, Dawn Tim bermman and Judy Calvin. Dale Timbermman and Terri Stout showed a barrel race. The club performed our winning Share-the-Fun act at the County Fair. We will compete at the State Fair Aug. 13.
