Three homes will be opened to the public. The contemporary home of the Donald Brodies, stands on a hilltop among seven and one- half acres of rolling wooded land. It commands a stunning view, overlooking the fields of the Bull Valley Hunt club Originally built eighteen years ago, mainly of redwood and glass, its open plan lends itself well to the gracious, in formal living of the Brodie family. The focal point of the home, which Mrs. Brodie describes as an un conventional, is a free standing brick fireplace. Upon entering the house, the fireplace com mands immediate attention and directs one to all other areas of the home. One of the features that will attract much attention is centered in the living room and dining area. This feature is the Brodies' collection of modern and traditional paintings. Natural lighting in this area is provided by a skylight in the dining room. The grounds of the home present an informal profusion of many kinds of flowers. Added to the loveliness of the grounds is one very busy swimming pool. For those who wish to lounge rather than splash, the porch, off the living room, provides the ideal set ting. The Brodies and their family have been generous to the Hospitality Day benefit. Mrs. Brodie's parents, the A.C. Bruhnkes, opened their home to the tour several years ago, as did her sister and brother-in- law the Charles Leibmans.
