J., as Bill Jackson is affectionately called, is recognized by his millions of fans, both young and old, as the number one TV personality, as they watch his Monday through Friday Show on WFLD-TV. As the Mayor of the renowned 'Cartoon Town,' he represents the all-American image with his sidekick, the Postmaster of "Cartoon Town," Dirty Dragon. His millions of viewers, his ratings and his over abundance of fan letters attest to the cleanliness of his show. His forthrightness with the children, his high morals and ever winning personality are both appealing and effervescent. In only presenting the highest caliber of entertainment, he had endeared himself to the hearts of kids, Moms, Dads, in fact the whole family. The combination of the popularity and good clean entertainment he provides were very important factors in his show being given the 1972 TV Program Directors Award as the number one local childrens show, and for "Cartoon Town" being the receipient of 2 Emmeys for the 1972 season. Dirty Dragon has announced his candidacy for the President of the United States during a fiery oration he made on his local television show-- WFLD-TV. Running as candidate for the newly formed "Fired-Up-Party," the Postmaster of Cartoon Town, Dirty Dragon, along with his campaign manager, "B. J." delivered a sizzling challenge to his contender, Snoopy, to meet the Dragon nose-to-nose on the campaign trail. Dragon went on to predict a blazing victory for the "young at heart" election and in order to do this effectively, he asks ALL KIDS who plan to attend the Dirty Dragon for President Rally on September 14th, to bring posters and signs urging the backing of this candidate. During B.J.'s appearance here at LAKEHURST, the best posters and signs will be chosen and prizes will be awarded! All those in attendance will receive "Dirty Dragon For President" buttons and autographed pictures. Since September 14th is our FIRST ANNIVERSARY CELEBRA TION here at Lakehurst, we are inviting everyone to come out and share in the Birthday Cake! There should be enough to go around for every body (providing Dirty Dragon doesn't carry it off in his mail bag!) Be sure and come early--the show starts promptly at 7:00 P.M.!
