(W Ringwood News Barbara Miller Chosen Director Of Play "Mame" FEATURED IN PARADE - This beautiful float, which was a winner in the McHenry Marine Festival line of march in July, will be featured in the Johnsburg parade Sunday, Sept. 24, com memorating the fiftieth anniversary of the Johnsburg Community club. Parade time is 1:30, lining up on Spring Grove road. The route will march up Johnsburg road to Fairview,- then west to Chapel Hill road, north to St. John's avenue, where it will continue to St. John's church. At this point the parade will turn east on Church street to disband at the Johnsburg public school. STAFF PHOTO-WAYNE GAYLORD Lakeland Park DOROTHY LENSE 385-6517 Women's Club Holds Season's First Meeting The fall season for the Lakeland Park Women's Club got off to a good start last Thursday, Sept. 14. In the large group of ladies were several who were there for the first time. And the club welcomed four new members. The board members served as hostesses for the September meeting. A variety of cakes and cookies were served. After the treasurer's and secretary's report, plans were made for the activities that will take place during the coming year. The club will visit Hager's pottery in Dundee and go out to lunch in October. Plans are already being made for the Christmas party and for the Snow Ball dinner- dance. The next meeting of the Lakeland Park Women's Club will be held Thursday, Oct. 5. The highlight of the meeting will be a wine tasting party featuring German wines. Plan to come. REGISTER TO VOTE On Saturday, Sept. 23, there will be an open registration. In order to vote in the presidential election, Nov. 7, you must be registered. CUBSCOUT PACK 351 MEETING The first meeting of Cub Scout Pack 351 will be held Friday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. The meetings have been changed from the last Thursday of each month to the last Friday of each month.
