FUDGE POT BREWERS Tuesday of this week found the Fudge Pot Brewers busy at work at the church making pounds and pounds of home made fudge and other candies to fill the many orders of candy. Orders are taken the week before and filled on Wednesday and then everyone still makes batches and batches of candies to be sold on Saturday at the church from 2 p.m. on through the dinner hours or until sold out. If you really want that sweet tooth satisfied come to the bazaar on Saturday and see and purchase some of the goodies that the Fudge Pot Brewers have cooked up. They went to the regular dance of the Checkerboard Squares at the Edgebrook school in McHenry. They had a guest caller from Wichita, Kansas, and he really kept them hopping. Mrs. Eva Roach and children visited in the Wright home and the Den Rich home one day last week. The children didn't have school so they and their mom, Eva, decided to pay Ringwood' and Woodstock a short visit. Doris Low, her mom, Mabel Thomas, of McHenry and niece, Judy Thomas, and son, Chuckie, of Crystal Lake visited Doris' brother, Darold Thomas, in Milwaukee on Wednesday of last week. Mrs. Jerry Wagner and children of Volo and Mrs. Walter Long and children of Riverside visited their grand­ parents, the Clyde Wrights, on Wednesday, Nov. 1. This past weekend was a very busy one at the Brennan- Hepburn home. Those who came over Saturday and Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Marrow from Springfield. Also on Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Russell Soddy* of Kenosha, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Popenhagen of Woodstock. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Bruce were visitors in Milwaukee, Wis., last Thursday. They also attended the Observatory Gardens, whicfi is very beautiful to visit. Mrs. Mavis Button of Glendale, Calif., was a visitor in the Clayton and Virginia Bruce home on Friday and Saturday. She spent much time visiting with ail the families. Also visiting with the Bruces was Clayton's nephew, Stewart Bruce, who is with the Navy stationed in Great Lakes. Sure is a busy place. BIRTHDAYS On Nov. 14, we would.like to wish Mrs. Peggy Whiting a most happy birthday and on Nov. 16 Mrs. Pat (Hogan) Parsley, Tracy Hogan and Chriss Gillespie all will share the same day with cake being served in their honors. A very happy birthday to you all. ANNIVERSARY On Nov. 14 we have two couple*, Randy and' Roe Josserandand Loren and Ruth Harrison, celebrating their anniversaries.
