COMPLAINTS Officer Harry Schroeder of the Woodstock Police depart­ ment charges that on Nov. 10, John S. Golik, Jr., of 8620 W. Sunset, Wonder Lake, com­ mitted the offense of theft under $150 in that he took a bicycle owned by Pam Larson of Woodstock. Bond set at $1,000, court date Dec. 4. Deputy Sheriff Robert Winters charges that on Nov. 9, Bryce M. Busby of 105 S. Lake Shore drive, Lakemoor, committed the offense of driving while license was suspended or revoked. Bond set at $1,000, court date Dec. 18. Elyse A. Reining charges that on Nov. 16, Richard O. Reining of 5010 W. Willow, McHenry, committed the of­ fense of battery in that he did cause bodily harm to her. Bond set at $1,000, court date Nov. 29. Officer John A. Gibson of the McHenry Police department charges that MI NOV. 8, Mr. or Mrs. Michael C. Johnson of 1404 N. Park street, McHenry, committed the offense of dog running at large. Notice was given to appear in court Nov. 29. David R. Service, owner of the Question Mark tavern, charges that on Nov. 18, Howard L. Freeman of 5410 Greenwood road, Ringwood, committed the offenses of criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $500 for each charge with court date scheduled for Dec. 6. School Officials At Joint Annual Meeting More than 5,000 school board members and administrators from throughout Illinois met in Chicago Nov. 18, 19 and 20 at the joint annual conference of Illinois Association of School Boards and Illinois Association of School Administrators. Meeting at the Sherman House, the delegates and members participated in fifty- four panel discussions,, covering important topics such' as Funding-Federal-State- Local, Recent Legislation and Court Decisions, Human Relations. Bakalis, superintendent of public instruction, state of Illinois: and Lowell Thomas, 4-H OUTSTANDING MEMBERS - McHenry county 4-H'er* received "I 'Dare Yon Book Awards" for their outstanding contribution to 4-H. They were presented their awards by the officers of the 4-H and Youth council. The officers are front row, left, Jeannette McCullough president, right. Ruby Wittmus secretary, and center, back row, Bernard Johnson, vice-president. Those receiving their awards were: front row, second from left, Clyde Slater of Cary, Kelvin Schuitz of McHenry, and Lynn Sarko of Marengo. Back row, Bonnie Blackburn of Hebron, Jennifer Sward of Harvard. Sue Kuhlman of Hebron, and Cathy Fettes of Huntley. They were honored at the 4-H Outstanding banquet held at the Timbers and sponsored by the Federal Land Bank, McHenry Co. F.S., Inc. McHenry County Farm Bureau, McHenry County Fair board, and McHenry County 4-H Federation. Valley View Children In Music Program The fourth and fifth grade children of Valley View school will present their music program, "A Children's Holiday" on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the school gym. The children will take a musical trip to "Holiday Land" to help Father Time inspect the holidays to be sure they are bright and cheerful, filled with spirit and ready for all people to enjoy. The combined chorus will sing, "Children's Holiday", "Happy New Year", "Your Mother and Mine", "One America", and "The Fourth of July Parade". The fourth world explorer broadcaster. and news graders will be featured in, "Won't You Be My Valentine:" "Galway Piper", "April Fool", and "Mommy". Some of the fifth grade Selections are "Billy Bunny", HThe Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria", "A-Haunting We Will Go", "We Gather Together", "Thank You Day", "Tlie Cactus Christmas Tree", and "There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays". The girls' chorus will sing "O Hanukkah", and a boys' en­ semble will present "When It's Christmas on the Range". Some of the songs will be ac­ companied by rhythm in­ struments and guitar. The program is directed by Mrs. Dorothy Hollander, who invites parents and friends to attend. In addition to the evening program, "A Children's Holiday" will be presented again on Friday, Dec. 1, at 9 a.m., for the chitylren of grades one, two and three. Two From Area Enroll In NIU Outdoor Program Mrs. Carole Rietesel of 1201Mz N. River road, McHenry, and Miss Peggy Sauer of 5016 Route 173, Richmond, were in at­ tendance with twenty-nine Northern Illinois university students who enrolled in the Junior Block program under the direction of Ruth L. Hubert. The students participated in a three-day outdoor educational experience Nov. 6-8, at the Laredo Taft campus, a branch of Northern Illinois university, located near Oregon. Taft campus coordinator was Doug Wade and his co-worker, Mrs. Jan Woodhouse.
