/ BETHEL BIBLE CLASSY "MEANWHILE BACK A7 . THE COURTHOUSE" Bible Class Is Graduated A graduation service was recently held for another Bethel Bible class at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, 404 North Green street, McHenry. In the service conducted by Pastor Roger W. Schneider, students were commended for their active and dedicated participation in the special study. At the con clusion to the service, Adult Christian Education Director Alan Olson presented each student with a graduation certificate. -> The Bethel Bible series is an interdenominational,in ternationally used Bible study which gives a serious student of the Bible a good over view of the Bible. The course is not a search for details. The student is encouraged to recall the important points in each sec tion of the Bible by using large art pieces which contain images which represent the important points in the Bible. The parish has, to date, sponsored seven classes of the Bethel Bible series which is produced by the Adult Christian Education foundation of Madison, Wis. Other courses PERSONALS Mrs. Marie Vales, son, Albert, Mr. and Mrs. James Glosson, James, Jr., David and Shawn accompanied by Frank Kempfer, Sr., of Ringwood spent Christmas in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kempfer, Jr., in Genoa, 111., where they attended a gathering honoring the Kempfers' grandson, Michael Anthony Laninger, who was baptized by Rev. Father McKitrick at St. Catherine's church in Genoa on that day. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Zoia and family of Minneapolis, Minn., produced by the same foun dation which are currently being offered by the parish include modern marriage, a course on relationships bet ween people, and a course on the ten commandments. The graduating class was taught by Norman Macdonald, II, Nellie Cina, and Alan Olson. The members of the class in clude Lucille Groh, Gertrude Jessup, Paul Jessup, Lowell Kivley, Sue Matthies, Linda Olson, Robert Peterson, Madelyn Roalson, Pam Ryden and Deborah Virgens. spent the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Phalin. A new series of meetings begins this month. The topics of dicussion include: 1) The ad vantages of breastfeeding to mother and baby; 2) "How-to" breastfeed and overcoming difficulties; 3) Labor and delivery: The family and the breastfed baby; 4) Nutrition and Weaning. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend the meetings. It is very helpful for pregnant women to attend before the baby arrives.
