PAGE 9-PLAINDEALER-WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 1973 Assets Of Savings-Loan Firm Reach $15 Million Total assests of McHenry Savings and Loan association reached a new high of $16,200,00 at the end of. 1972, it was reported at the S&L's annual shareholders' meeting. The increase of more than $3,000,000 according to Charles M.Adams, McHenry Savings' president, represented a growth of 22 percent last year. Savings alone were up 26 percent. Adams said the S&L'sgrowth was mainly due to a larger participation by savers throughout McHenry county and western Lake county. He further attributed the increase to the association's maximum interest rates of as much as 6 percent per annum on two-year $5,000 certificates of deposit. Adams was re-elected president and Virginia Aalto secretary at the annual meeting. George M.Freurtfl was elected vice-president, and Frederick C. Cappetta was named to a newly created office of assistant secretary. All present directors of McHenry Savings were re elected. They are Robert C. Winkle, Cappetta, Freund, Alfred D.
