Olympic Games Held For Luther League An Olympic games night was sponsored last Sunday evening by the Luther league or youth group at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, 404 North Green street, McHenry. Thirty- five members of the league participated in a variety of games accumulating "win points" as they progressed from one game to another. The final winners were Lowell Kivley, Jeff Damiani, John Holmgreen and Nancy Harper. On March 23 the leaguers will board a bus at 6 p.m. to travel to the Conrad Hilton hotel in Chicago to attend a Great Lakes Lutheran congress for 5,000 Lutheran youths. The program will include hearing Rev. Nelson Trout, being in volved in small group discussion periods on a variety of topics, and hearing two youth bands perform. The members of the league are encouraged to register for this event by March 18. The sponsors for the youth group include Lee and Joanne Mai, Earl and Lynette Trier, Les and Madge Carlson, and Harold and Shirley Kivley. Dog License Is Mandatory Outside City All owners or keepers of dogs in unincorporated areas of McHenry county are required by state law to take out a county dog license annually for each dog owned, and pay the license fee provided for in these statutes. Dogs kept in kennels for breeding, sale, or sporting purposes, are not to be assessed individual license fees, but the owner or keeper must pay a kennel license fee.
