All bills were approved for payment from the general fund. President Bieritz informed the board that he had received a final donation from the Lot Owners Association. He suggests that the money be used for the sole purpose of a road survey, such as core samples of the road base depth which is urgently needed right now to determine exactly what is /iecessary for the proposed road work. Trustee Henderlong made a resolution to the effect that the donation be spent for boring tests on the roads. The resolution passed. The board also passed a resolution in support of the youth home in Woodstock. Robert Steck volunteered his services for the road com mittee. Mrs. Snively felt that it was a moral consideration due the residents. Trustee Schweikert reassured Mr. Steck and other guests, that there would be no special assessment for roads by this present board without a referendum. Trustee Hoffman remarked, to the effect, that special assessment was the most feasible way, although not necessarily the only way. During the open discussion, the subject of a village hall came up. Trustee Schweikert explained that the beach property could be used to secure a loan to purchase the property, culvert, building, etc., and that he felt it was necessary. Nothing was decided at this time as ad ditional necessary information was forthcoming. Trustee Sch weikert thanked the guests for attending and voicing their opinions.
