"Wildlife management in Two Women Involved In Fracas Monday A fracas between two women in the parking lot of B&D Automotive, 1719 W. Route 120, McHenry, Monday afternoon, resulted in the arrest of Amy Kroncke of 1203 Oakleaf, McHenry for battery. Her bond was set at $1,000, with court appearance scheduled for March 26. Shirley Caley of 2500 N. Flanders, McHenry, reported that when she drove to the business place to purchase auto parts, Ms. Kroncke arrived, pushed her around and used obscenities. While deputies were questioning Ms. Caley, the other woman persisted in interrupting and then struck the complainant in the head. Deaths VIVIAN L. AUSTIN Vivian L. Austin, 73, of San Juan, Texas, formerly of Genoa City, Wis., passed away March 11, at McAllen, Texas. He was born May 16, 1899, in Richmond, the son of Edwin C. and Emily Rossing Austin. A retired farmer, he lived the past 15 years in San Juan, Texas. f Mr. Austin was a member of World War I Veterans at McAllen, Texas, and a member of the Paul C. Hoffman American Legion Post No. 253 of Richmond. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Bellamy of Quincy, Bruce Harbecke Sets Record In Basketball, MCC Announces Awards • Coach Bob Matte has an nounced the following varsity basketball award winners at McHenry County College: Mike Bauer, Bill Haag and Bruce Harbecke from McHenry; Tom Desmond, Jim Fletcher, Bruce Robbins and Mike Tichenor from Crystal Lake; Glenn Borhart, Huntley; Phil Gabel, Cary; Larry Lowrey, Rich mond; and Wes Witmus from Harvard and manager Larry Fairfield of Crystal Lake. Leading scorer for the Scots was Harbecke with a total of 359 points; Witmus followed with 305 points, while Borhart, Lowrey and Desmond con tributed 278, 197 and 144 respectively. Harbecke also led Calif., and Mrs. Prudence Eberhardt of Palatine; and a brother, George, of Solon Mills. A funeral Mass will be of fered at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 16, at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Richmond with Fr. Thomas Neville of ficiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Governor Proclaims Illinois Wildlife Week SPRINGFIELD, ILL., March 13, 1973--Gov. Dan Walker today (Tues., March 13) signed a proclamation designating the week of March 18-24 as "Wildlife Week in Illinois". The Governor not only asked Illinois citizens to attain a "new awareness of its (wildlife) value" next week, but he also dedicated the balance of 1973 to "understanding the needs of wildlife". The proclamation signing ceremony was held Tuesday morning in the Governor's Office. Illinois Wildlife Week is an outgrowth of National Wildlife Illinois is the responsibility of trained biologists in the Con servation Department and the Natural History Survey. Their programs of working with farmers and landowners to encourage habitat plantings, and looking to the welfare of the flocks of Canada geese and migrating ducks on the Mississippi Flyway each year are well known.
