Two Monthly Recycling Drives Are Announced Two young people's groups will be in charge of the monthly recycling drives in the Crystal Lake area Saturday, May 19. Junior Defenders, under the leadership of Mrs. Florence Seda of McHenry County Defenders, will collect bundled newspapers, magazines and corrugated board at the Crystal Lake high school faculty parking lot from 9 a.m. until the truck is filled. They will also appreciate people bringing old wax and plastic bags for them to recycle into candles and decorative pillows to sell at the McHenry County Fair." Proceeds from Junior Defenders participation in this drive go tward continuing their reforestation program throughout the county. County Invests Total Of $220,059 In C And H Bonds McHenry county residents purchased a total of $220,059.00 in Series E and H United States Savings bonds in March, according to Donald J. Still, Woodstock, volunteer county chairman of the Savings Bonds committee. Sales in the State of Illinois totaled $40,418,648, according to Clarence S.
