STAFF PHOTO-WAYNE GAYLORD Shamrocks Practice For Game With Legion Friday Night The McHenry Shamrocks held a practice on Tuesday night. There are many new names, but there are many fine young ballplayers. It was the first time that they had enough men to have a full scrimmage. It was a real thrill to watch both teams talking it up with great enthusiasm and confidence, and working for starting positions. McHenry could really be for another well run tour nament. On Sunday, June 3, the first round of the Directors Tour nament will be played. Should be some interesting matches. EARL WALSH So J Hear SPORTS • EDITOR j Martin Stoffel brought us an old McHenry dog tag that he says belonged to "Peggy" Feltz. If you aren't somewhat of an Old Timer in McHenry, you won't remember that "Peggy", with 2-wheel push cart, broom and shovel was the entire street cleaning depart ment in McHenry. He had a dog that followed him from one end of town to the other. Wish we had a picture. We have a flock of statistics on high school baseball teams. The blue ink copy is rather faint in spots, but we will still try to list some top accomplishments. A young boy, ready for bed, interrupted a family gathering in the living room.
