Wooster Lake Park Red Cross /'Learn To Swim" Registration PAGE7-PLAINDEALER-FRIDAY, JUNE8, 1973 The Wooster Lake Park Red Cross "Learn to Swim" registration is being taken this week at the park. There will be three sessions. The first session will start June 11, the second June 25, and the last session will start July 9. Classes will be held for Guppies, age three through Minnow, Beginners, Advanced Beginners, Intermediate, Swimmers, Junior Life Saving and Senior Life Saving. Awarding of blue ribbons and skill sheets will be issued at the end of each session. The Water Safety Instructors are Ginger Jenken, Pat McLeod, EHie Kelly, Terry Tabias, Winn Cain, and Tammy Kenzatt. Wooster Lake Park is located in Ingleside on Ht. 134, one block west of Wilson Road. Entries Open For Softball Tourney Trades Home Open House The public is invited to attend open house next weekend at the beautiful, newly completed home at 1405 Eastwood lane, Eastwood Manor. The residence is the culmination of a term's work by boys in the West campus building trades class. Open house hours are 1 to 4 o'clock on the afternoons of Saturday and Sunday, June 9 and 10. Students selected their plan for the home in the Spring of 1972. (TINY) ZIDEK, III Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Thursday in Christ the King Catholic church, Wonder Lake, for Anthony F. (Tiny) Zidek, III, of 7316 Harbor road, Wonder Lake. The 26-year-old man died June 4 in McHenry hospital He was bom Nov. 21, 1946, in Chicago and was employed in that city by I.B.M. The deceased was a member of the U.S.M.C. Reserves, Chicago. Survivors are his wife, Janice (Huck) whom he married April» 20, 1969, in Chicago; one son, Anthony F. IV; his parents, Anthony F. and Florence (Jacobson) Zidek, Jr.; three brothers, Lawrence of Wonder Lake, Ronald of Downers Grove and Dennis of Niles. The body rested at the Schilling funeral home, Wonder Lake. Burial was in Maryhill cemetery, Niles. JAMES F. POKORNY James F. Pokorny, 78, of 812 S. Griesheimer (R- Waukegan) are urging senior citizens throughout Illinois to implore Gov. Dan Walker not to dismantle the Governor's Committee on Senior Citizens. Walker announced earlier this year that the committee, created under Gov. Richard B. Ogilvie, and the only body in state government which acts exclusively as a voice for senior citizens, would be dismantled effective June 30. "We in the General Assembly," the two legislators said, "cannot allow the committee to be dismantled since the action would leave the state's senior citizens virtually without effective, organized representative in state government that is exclusively concerned with their needs." Legislation has been in­ troduced to create a state Department of the Aging.
