She was born in Johnsburg July 13,1894. Survivors include 2 sons, Arthur of Burlington, Wis., and Mervin, Woodstock; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Viola) Glosson, McHenry, and Mrs. Lee (Nellie) Whiting, Wood stock; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Irene Guffey, McHenry, Mrs. Ray (Martha) Heniken, Woodstock, Mrs. Les (Hilda) Bungard, Elmhurst, and Mrs. Elmer (Frances) Smallfelt, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, Aug. 17, 1967, her parents, Martin and Mary Schmitt May, and a son, Melvin. Friends may call at the Peter M. Justen and Son funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday. A funeral Mass will be offered Thursday morning at 10:30 at St. Patrick's church with burial in old St. Patrick's cemetery. WILLIAM A. BOCKMAN, SR. Last rites for William A. Bockman, Sr., of 1619 Rogers avenue, McHenry, were held at 1 o'clock Monday in the George R. Justen & Son funeral home. Burial was in Woodland cemetery. Mr. Bockman died Friday, June 15, in McHenry hospital. He was born May 24, 1889, in Marengo, son of August and Augusta (Wolf) Bockman. He was a retired farm manager, having resided in this area for the past thirty-five years. His wife, Edith, died in 1957. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Mary) Peine of Batavia, Miss Kay Bockman and Mrs. Norman (Dorothy) Geis of Highland Park and Mrs. Richard (Anne) Wohnrade of McHenry; two sons, William Jr., of McHenry and Alan of North Ridge, Calif.; eighteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ella Kuesel of St. Paul, Minn., and one brother, Paul, of Marengo. A brother and one grandchild preceded him in death. AUGUSTA BUCHERT Augusta Buchert, 90, of 2818 W. John street, McHenry, died June 16 in the Pistakee Bay home. Miss Buchert was born July 31, 1882, in McHenry, daughter of Henry and Wilhemina (Geske) Buchert. Survivors are a brother, William, of McHenry, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Amos, Henry, Albert and Charles, and a sister, Bertha Buchert. The body rested at the Peter M. Justen & Son chapel, where services were conducted Monday at 2 o'clock. Burial\vas in Woodland cemetery. JAIME FERNSTROM Jaime T. Fernstrom, 17, of 4115 W. Waukegan road, McHenry, died the evening of June 16 in McHenrv hospital of injuries sustained in an auto accident. Jaime was born April 11, 1956, in Woodstock. A West campus student, he was em ployed during the summer at Hester Oils. Surviving him are his parents, Charles B. and Marjorie (Thomas) Fern strom; eight brothers and sisters, Helen, Vicki, Tami, Sherri, Charles R., Donald D., Donald R., and Gordon W., all at home; three1 step-sisters, Patricia Burgess, Corine Gould and Kathleen Rogers; and his grandmother, Mrs. 1 Dale (Mabel) Thomas, of McHenry. Visitation is being held at the George R. Justen & Son chapel, where the Rev. Raymond White of the First Methodist church will officiate at last rites Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery. DONALD BURG Injuries suffered in an auto accident Saturday night, June 16, caused the death of Donald L. Burg, 18, of 4912 W. Orchard drive, McCullom Lake, at McHenry hospital. The young man was born Dec. 27, 1954, in Woodstock. He was a student at McHenry high school and was employed at Eagle Food store. Survivors include his parents, Gregory Burg, Sr., and Marie Meyer Burg; one brother, Sgt. Gregory Burg, Jr., of the McHenry police department; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Bonnie) Morris, McHenry, and Peggy at home. Last rites were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home with burial in Woodland cemetery. JOSEPH B. KUNA Joseph B. Kuna, 61, of 10009 Main street, Richmond, for merly of McHenry, died June 17 in Memorial hospital, Wood stock. Mr. Kuna was born May 23, 1912, in Chicago, son of John and Barbara Kuna. For the past five years he had been proprietor of the Richmond Bowl. Prior to that time he operated the True Value Hardware store in McHenry for five years, and before that, McHenry Recreation for ten years. The deceased was a member erf St. Joseph church, Rich mond, Richmond Rotary club, Bowling Proprietors association of McHenry county and the Liquor Dealers association of McHenry and Kenosha counties. He was married June 10, 1965, in Las Vegas, Nev., to Sylvia Mallozzi, who survives. He also leaves one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Kathleen) Sandrik, of Pistakee Highlands, seven sons, Ray of McHenry, Gary, Douglas, Lawrence, Michael, Joseph and James, all at home; ten grandchildren, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John" Kuna, of McHenry; two brothers, Raymond of DesPlaines and John of Chicago. A sister preceded him in death. The body rests at the Ehorn- Adams chapel, Richmond. A funeral Mass will be offered at 10 o'clock Wednesday in St. Joseph's Catholic church, with +- Father Thomas Neville of ficiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. GEORGE H . STOFFEL Services were conducted at the Schneider-Leucht-Merwin- Cooney funeral home in Woodstock Tuesday afternoon for George H. Stoffel of 1212 Wheeler street, Woodstock. Mr. Stoffel, 73, died early Saturday morning, June 16. in his home. He was born in McHenry Oct. 7, 1899, son of John and Mary Busse Stoffel. Mr. Stoffel was a member of American Legion Post 412, World War II Barracks, No. 1262, and the First United Methodist church. On Dec. 27, 1921, he was married in Chicago to Margaret Miller, who survives. He also leaves two daughters, Mrs. William (Rosemary) Gancar of Woodstock and Mrs. Harold (Betty) Bruder of Geneva; six grandchildren; two brothers Jacob of Pistakee Highlands and John of Geneva; eight sisters, Frances Garner of Wayzata, Minn., Martha Stoffel and Emily Miller of Chicago, Marian Thurlwell of Morton Grove, Vera Ford of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Laura Vecker of Morris; Lillian Deemer of Sun City, Ariz., and Delia Warner ofGreenbelt, Md. A brother, Paul preceded him in death. The Rev. Kenneth Yeoman officiated at last rites. She was born Oct. 4, 1894, in Volo, the daughter of Sid and Orpha Brown Russell. Among her survivors are her husband, Clyde C., whom she married April 8, 1914, in Waukegan; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Genevieve) WiSet-^of^ Volo; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Lyda Dolveal, Happy Camp, Calif., Mrs. Esther Mickey, Garden Prairie, 111., Mrs. Selma Scheusen, Chicago, Mrs. Norman (Alice) Washo, Richland Center, Wis.; and one brother, Lloyd Russell, Volo. Becker, a member of the McHenry chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America, left last Sunday for Washington, D.C. to attend the twenty-second annual FBLA National Leadership con ference. John will participate in discussion groups, business meetings and general sessions. The major business of the meeting is the election of national officers for the 1973-74 school year and a series of competitive events between chapters and between state delegations. Events include public speaking, typing, ac counting, a spelling relay, parliamentary procedure demonstrations, and the selection of a Mr. and Miss Future Business Leader. A tour of Washington monuments and Arlington cemetery has been scheduled during the conference. FBLA is the national youth organization for high school students who plan to enter careers in business or business education. The national organization has chartered over 5,600 chapters in the United States and has mem bership of 100,000 students. About 1,700 high school members and advisers from all over the United States are attending this year's con ference.
