McHenry scored 3 runs to tie the game in the first inning and 3 more in the second to take a 6- 5 lead that was lost in the 5th when 2 base hits and two walks were earned off of Stahlman in relief for Thurnhoffer. Another run was earned by Harris when Lew is hit his second home run. This made the score 9-7 But the Shamrocks kept fighting To climax this high scoring, thrilling baseball game, the Shamrocks scored a run when Rogers scored after his lead-off double Conell also got on when he w as hit by a pitch and Salter pitch ran. Salter scored after Rohrer got a pitch hit single to push Salter to second, and Zick singled. This tied up the game at 9 all Kiefer came to bat with men on 1st and 2nd. Cary's shortstop, Billy Heft, stroked two triples and a single, and Turner, their first baseman, had 3 singles. Some errors by the usually good McHenry infield also contributed to the 12-5 defeat. McHenry's batters were held hit less until the 5th inning when they pushed 2 runs across home plate on singles by Kevin Worm, pave Wickenkamp, and Steve and Pat Stanek. They scored 3 more runs in the 7th inning on hits by Dan Voight and Jerry Biederer. Ray Williams helped the cause with a single in the 6th inning. Next Sunday McHenry travels to Cary to face them again. The medieval mariner who lost a ship through carelessness or ig norance had to give financial sat isfaction or lose his head. When a shift in the wind gave a weather-bound shipmaster an op portunity to sail, he had to assem ble his crew and ask, "Gentlemen, what think ye of this wind?" If they thought it an ill wind the ship did not sail. BUMPER STICKERS (L PRO&LEM PRIMER-. a. auv vvMo DOESN'T 7TP. Jack Schaffer, R-Cary. ^ This year's dinner will be held at the Conrad Hilton hotel in Chicago. "We are most fortunate to have Gov. Reagan as our speaker," Sen. Schaffer said. "He is truly a great American and one of the nation's out standing governors." The dinner is held each year to raise funds for the use of Republican senators in general e l e c t i o n c a m p a i g n s . R e p u b l i c a n s e n a t o r s throughout Illinois benefit from the proceeds of the dinner, which is the primary source of fund raising. A reception honoring Gov. Reagan will precede the din ner. McHenry County opened the door to its new outreach office at 445 Park avenue in Cary this week. George Mally, director of the clinic, pointed out that 20 to 25 percent of the persons seen at the main office in McHenry were from the Algonquin township area. Thus the reason for opening an office in the area. P s y c h i a t r i c a n d psychological services will be offered at this office. This is only the second time that services of this type are being offered outside of the main clinic offices since 1960. (The other is Woodstock.) Thomas Davis, III, M.D., psychiatrist, and Georgianna Crist, psychologist, and a full time secretary will serve as the permanent staff there. At this point, due to the budget, only limited service will be offered. The clinic has requested funds for additional staff time from the revenue sharing fund in Algonquin township, 0 TOWNE '̂OUTDOOR FOX LAKE ILL. 120 & 21.
