Participants in the 6-9 age group are shown proudly displaying their entries. Bike Parade Winners One of the truly fun parts of Marine Festival Weekend was the bike parade on Green street Saturday afternoon. In the 3-5 age group, Lisa and Gina Bell won first place, Ethan Rogers was second and Carolyn Stupey, third. The 6-9 age class found Cheryl Stupey emerging the victor, followed by Christine Iacullo, second; and Susan Smith, third. Tim Rogers won in the 9 years-and-over class; Judy Honning placed second and her brother, John Honning, third. - ' Tim Rogers was the winner in the 9-and-over age class of the bike parade. Service News Navy Seaman Recruit David B. May, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgene May of 1707 Oak street, /'Spring Grove, graduated from recruit training at the Naval Training center, Great Lakes. He is a 1971 graduate of Carmelhigh school, Mundelein, and attended Lake bounty college, Grayslake. Deaths PHILIP F. RINDA, JR. PhilipF. Rinda, Jr., 39, of 512 Engels place, Spring Grove, died Friday, July 13, at St. Therese hospital, Waukegan, following a long illness. The deceased was born April 28, 1934 in Chicago, the son of Philip F. Rinda, Sr., and Lucille McMahon Rinda. On Sept. 21, 1957, he married Patricia Busch who survives. He had been a resident of the Spring Grove area for the past 15 years. Mr. Rinda was a 1952 graduate of Richmond-Burton high school and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war. He was employed by Northern Illinois Gas company for the past fifteen years. The deceased was a member of St. Peter's Catholic church, Spring Grove, the Holy Name sdciety, the Spring Grove volunteer fire department, Moose Lodge No. 1881 of Fox Lake and was steward of Local 1878 of the I.B.E.W. Besides his wife, he is sur­ vived by two daughters, Debra Ann and Peggy Jeanette, and one son, Philip James, all at home; also by his mother, Mrs. Lucille Rinda, of Spring Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Lucille) Hahn of Spring Grove and Mrs. Richard (Alice) Thomas of Fox Lake; and three brothers, George of Spring Grove and John and Thomas of Genoa City, Wis. He was preceded in death by his' father and one brother, Robert. Msgr. Leonard Busch of­ ficiated at funeral services held Monday morning at St. Peter's Catholic church. Mayfair drive, Sun- nyside, was dead on arrival at McHenry hospital, July 13. He was born March 5, 1922, in Chicago. The deceased was a main­ tenance man for the state tollway system. He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 3 of Chicago; ex-president of Sunnyside Estates Home Owners association and a community road com­ missioner. He is survived by his wife, Mary, nee Giersz; one brother, John F., Chicago; and a sister, Mrs. Marguerite Hanahan, Oak Park. Visitation was held at the George R. Justen and Son funeral home. A funeral Mass was offered Monday morning at 10 o'clock at St. John's church, John- sburg, with burial in the church cemetery. LEE T. HORTON Lee T. Horton, 81, of 1006 Jasper drive, McHenry, died July 16 at St. Therese hospital, Waukegan. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Sept. 25,1891, he was a resident of the McHenry area 5 years, moving from Chicago He had been employed as a welder at Faust Oven Co. Among his survivors are a brother, Clayton, of McHenry, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and four sisters. Huemann, McHenry, died July 15 in Hines Veterans hospital. He had resided in this community for twenty years. Mr. Yungnickel was born Dec. 11, 1914, in Chicago, He was self-employed as a land­ scapes Survivors are his wife, Caroline (From berg); three daughters, Mrs. John (Claudia) Straza, Mrs. John (Sharon) Thompson and Mrs. James (Gail) Dowell, all of McHenry; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Clara) Couch of Arkansas and Mrs. Herbert (Elsie) Kulasik of McHenry. A" brother, Ernest, preceded him in death. The body rests at the George R. Justen & Son funeral home until 1:30 Wednesday, when services will be conducted at the chapel. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery. KATHERINE PULASKI Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at the Peter M. Justen & Son chapel for Katherine Para Pulaski of 113 Sheridan road, Lakemoor. There was private interment. Mrs. Pulaski, 83, died Friday, July 13, in Memorial hospital, Woodstock. She was born in Bialka, Poland, Dec. 19, 1899, and had resided here for eighteen years. Two husbands, Joseph Para and Walter Pulaski, preceded her in d^ath. She leaves five sons, John Para of Chicago, Michael Para of Mexico, Walter Para of Lakemoor, Frank Para and Arthur Para, Chicago; fclur daughters, Mrs. Marie Fabian of Chicago, Mrs. Anne Brzezinski, Lakemoor, Mfs.
