Organist for the ceremony was Mrs. Frank Harrison. The pretty bride chose a white double knit gown designed with flocked organdy sleeves, a stand-up collar trimmed in lace and tiny pearl buttons down the front of the bodice. For her headpiece she chose a Juliet cap The bride's sister, Patty Christopher of McHenry, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Penny Linstad, sister of the bridegroom, and Nancy Young, both of Appleton, Wis. The attendants were attired in floor length, pink and lavender print gowns. The maid of honor wore a lavender, wide-brimmed hat and mat ching gloves. The bridesmaids wore similar accessories in pink. Each carried a colonial bouquet of pink and lavender flowers. Wayne Pellet of Appleton served as best man. Groom smen were Terry Bock of Appleton and David Christopher of McHenry, brother of the bride. Serving as ushers were Dan Mortinson of Peshtigo, Wis., and David Linstad of Porterfield, Wis., both cousins of the groom. The bride's mother chose a floor length gown of mint green with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations and pink roses. The bridegroom's mother wore a multi-colored print, floor length gown and a corsage of white carnations and yellow- orange roses. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church parlor for 100 friends and relatives. Heidi Linstad, sister of the groom, circulated the guest book at the reception. The young couple plan to spend their honeymoon cam ping throughout Colorado, Wyoming and Montana. Upon their return, they will make their home at 3800 E. Broadway drive. Appleton, Wis. It sort o' tickles me funny bone, t' hear the wise men a try in' t' retract th' theories o' conduct fer human bein's, they been a preachin' an' a teachin' fer th' past ten years 'n more, about th' dangers o' discipline a warpin' personalities o' vounguns. Th' "Good Book" wasn't written at th' beginnin' o' th' human race. All th' mistakes mankind c'n make inspired men, wi' th' preservation an' higher development o' mankind at heart, t' try an' teach ways o' aceomplishin' th' feat o' directin' human energies t' higher levels o' mental growth. All it takes t' direct th' mind is a suggestion, an' when that influence is toward a lettin' down th' barriers o' decent human conduct, an' implyin' that self-control's harmful, we find ourselves immersed in a society, so different from th' one we knew, that we may, well, fear for our lives. It takes self-control t' live wi'in our laws. Therefore it behooves all parents t' make laws fer members o' th' family t' abide by. When laws 're broken, punishment ensues, an' so it should be in the home. Frustrations 're a part o' life, an' if parents took th' trouble t' build psychological strength in th' minds o' little folk, there wouldn't be a need fer visits t' th' local psychiatrist, when they run inter problems in life, that don't please 'em. Lettin' go o' emotions, only aggravates th' sitiation. an' makes matters worse. A listenin', as I do, t' me radio, I hear some mighty fine men an' women, a talkin' on important subjects, an' stress is put on today's problems o' uninhibited younguns, who hain't been taught t' respect th' rights o' others, an' who give vent t' hatred, an' anger on provocation. These folk, who've made a study o' th' subject, feel that much o' the' crime we're experienein', these days, among th' younger folk, an' childern, c'n be charged t' th' lack o' proper teachin' o' self- control. Animals don't learn t' control anger. Man should be above th' four-legged creatures, an' teach younguns t' reach fer higher levels o' civilized conduct. This 'd be a happier world wi' realization o' man's highest social, an' cultural development, which seems t' be on th' down-trend lately.
