They have taken the challenge and during Leukemia month - September - will call on neighbors to enlist their aid in this battle against an ugly pollutant--Leukemia. Leukemia is the principal killer of children, other than accidents, beyond infancy in the United States. It occurs at all ages, but the chronic forms predominate in older people. Researchers supported by the Leukemia Society of America are working in laboratories throughout the United States and in foreign countries trying to unravel the mystery of leukemia. Although the progress in the control and understanding of leukemia has been rapid over the past twenty years, the final answer to leukemia must come from research - research into un derstanding the causes, into the nature of the defects which keep the cells from developing normally, into the development of methods for the control of leukemic white cells, and better procedures for sup portive therapy to avoid the serious complications of leukemia. Now's The Time! There is a popular saying to day that goes like this: "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." We hear this saying in songs, television commercials, on posters and lapel buttons But how many of us actually realize the implications of this statement Today, not tomorrow or next week or next month, but TODAY is the fiirst day of the rest of our lives. 4 When one thinks about it for a little while, one realizes that it is also a call to action, a statement of truth compelling us to do what is right with our lives. If we are willing to change, God will accept us and forgive our errors of the past. Today is the day when we can start anew in the eyes of God. Today is the day when we can bring our lives and our souls back to our Creator, where they belong. Yes, today is the first day of the rest of your life What are you going to do with today0 Wise people take things as they come-if they can handle them that fast. Automation seems to be a device to make all work so simple that women or children can do it. Swimming Pool Sale FROM VALLEY POOLS DISCOUNT ON ALL POOLS IN STOCK SAVE $ NOW!
