Gather together/^ tablefull and help support this worthwhile organization:"' NEW SHOV^ Last week our TV set gave a moan and a 'groan and presented us wijh a black face and no pi^ure and our repairman took its innards back to the shop for a major repair job. I'll admit to missing the old set - as an excellent baby sitter and educational asset with Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street for 4 year old Pat, when all the older kids go off to school in the morning. And heavenly days, will I ever learn if Bill and Laura will have a future together? Or will Mickey regain his memory and come home? And will Bill go off to South America with Mary, after all? But anyhow. In the evenings at our house it's a whole new show. People are actually starting to talk to each other - and listen! Is it possible that our old friend "Television" is in some way responsible for the present day breakdown of the family unit? Or do we, as supposedly intelligent in dividuals with the ability to use the tucp off button - let it happen. Units in the Kishwaukee district have established a goal of 786 new Scouts and Cubs during the Round-Up. Every boy, Anderson em phasized, is eligible to * join Scouting. "Don't wait for an invitation", he cautioned. "Look up the phone number of your nearest Boy Scout headquarters in the phone book, or call our main office in Rockford at 815-397-0210". Two films are available to schools, organizations and other groups to show how Scout activities help boys grow. Each runs 25 minutes. They are Entitled, "Go Cubbing" and "GoScouting".
