They are committee members for the benefit Luncheon-Fashion show that is being sponsored by the Women's auxiliary of the Family Service and Mental Health clinic of McHenry county. The luncheon will be held Monday, Nov. 5, at the McHenry Country club. An added attraction will be an auction of antique items donated by local shops. Whirlers Welcome Guest Dancers At October Event Square dancers from Menominee Falls, Wis., were special guests of the Woodshed Whirlers Square Dance club at the Johnsburg Junior high school Saturday, Oct. 13. Some eighty dancers, members and guests, were on hand for the club's "Cake Walk" dance, with Bill Ken nedy, regular club caller, at the microphone. He also asked a couple of guest callers to call a dance during the evening. The "Cake Walk" was for the guests only and a dozen cakes were prizes for this special feature of the evening. Dancing was ended a half an Psychologist Will Address PWP Members Parents Without Partners, Crystal Lake Chapter No. 189, will hold their general meeting Friday, Oct. 19, at 8:30 p.m. at the American Legion hall, hour early, at 11 p.m., so everyone could enjoy the array of food. President Harold Dietmeyer announced that plans are moving ahead for the Christ mas party and the New Year's eve dance, the latter to be held at JohnSburg Community club. Vyborny chose Saturday, Oct. 13, as the date df their wedding in St. Mary's Episcop&l church, Crystal Lake. They repeated their nuptial vows before the Rev. Fr. Marx Jones at the 4 o'clock afternoon services in a church decorated with bouquets of yellow and bronze mums and white gladioli. Miss Lawrence is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard J. Lawrence of 1105 N. Chapel Hill road, McHenry, and Mr. Vyborny is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Vyborny of 381 Herrick road, Riverside. Special music presented at the services included "Ode to Joy", "Ave Maria" and "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring". The pretty bride chose a gown of ivory sata peau with organza sleeves. Tiny tucks from the neck to the hemline of the gown were attached with cluny lace. Her watteau train was caught with a soft bo\v of sata peau. Her four-tier, ivory illusion veil was attached to a coronet of cluny lace. She carried a colonial bouquet of ivory roses, stephanotis and baby's breath. Mrs. Patricia Wiedenhoeft of Whitewater, Wis., a friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Other attendants were Mrs. Christine Gillian of Rockford, a college roommate, Mrs. Marcia Lawrence of Oak Park, the bride's sister-in-law, and Miss Sandra Lacascio of Chicago, the bride's cousin. Serving as junior bridesmaid was Toni Vyborny, the bridegroom's sister. The attendants were attired in print organza gowns in fall colors. The halter gowns were topped with matching bolero jackets. Each carried a colonial bouquet of fall colored mums and baby's breath. John Flowers of Brookfield attended his friend as best man. Groomsmen were Tom Lawrence of Oak Park, the bride's brother, Pat Gillian of Rockford and Don Pryber of Darien. The bride's mother chose a floor length gown of gold, trimmed with ivory lace, and wore a corsage of white non-sectarian educational organization devoted to the welfare of the single parent and theft4 children. A bus has been chartered to take the members and their friends. A total of twenty-four ladies have already signed to participate. Miss Bertilla Freund and the officers of the court have ex pressed appreciation to all who helped in any way to make the cymbidium orchids. The bridegroom's mother wore a pale green floor length gown and a similar corsage. Immediately after the ceremony, a reception was held at the American'Legion hall in McHenry for 170 guests. The newlyweds are now making their home in Grayslake. They plan to take a delayed honeymoon trip in the spring. The bride graduated from MCHS in 1969 and her bridegroom graduated the same, .year from Riverside- Brookfield high. Both attended Northern Illinois university and graduated in June, 1973. The ^ride teaches hearing impaired children at Woodland elementary school, Gages Lake. Mr. Vyborny is an English teacher at Warren township high school, Gurnee. Prior to the wedding, the bride was honored at three showers. One was hosted by Mrs. Pat Wiedenhoeft and Mrs. Mary Cook, another by Mrs. Joan Locascio, the bride's aunt, and the third was given by Mrs. Camille Pryber. annual fall card party a suc cess. The court urges its members to be present at the Recognition night of the charter members and remember that the winner of cash attendance prize was not awarded at the last meeting so the prize has doubled in value. Dinner: Theatre To Open Third Season Nov. 2 The McHenry Dinner Theatre opens its third season at the McHenry Country club with Neil Simon's "Plaza Suite." It stars Donatelle (Donna Mascari) and Donald Crop, with Ron Koules. "Plaza Suite" is a comedy with three individual acts about different people who use the suite. There is Karen and Sam Nash, who are celebrating their wedding anniversary. The trouble is, Sam is having an affair with his secretary. Then there is Jesse, the Hollywood Producer, meeting Muriel, his old high school flame for an evening at the Plaza. And finally there is Roy and Norma Hubley, who want to marry off their daughter if they can get her out of the suite's^ bathroom. The play opens Nov. 2 and runs the 4, 9, 10, 16, and 17. Halloween Party Oct. 24 At Highlands Wednesday, Oct. 24, is the date of the Pistakee Highlands Woman's club Halloween party. The pot-luck dinner starts at 7 p.m. at the Pistakee Highlands Community center. Anyone not in costume will be fined a dollar. New members are still needed and are welcome at this meeting. It is only necessary to bring a dish to pass. On Saturday, Oct. 27, there will be a pumpkin judging contest at the Community center for the children of the Highlands. Dorsey Daughter Wears Heirloom Christening Dress The first child of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Dorsey was baptized Oct. 7 at St. John the Baptist church during the noon Mass. Sponsors were her grandmother, Mrs. Howard Dorsey, and an uncle, Tim Freund. The baby, who was born Aug. 20 at St. Francis hospital, Evanston, wore a christening gown worn by her father, grandmother and great-aunt. Those present for the christening were the great- grandmother, Mrs. Joseph Freund of Johnsburg, the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald M. Freund, McHenry, the paternal grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dorsey of Lakemoor, aunts, U.S.O. DANCE The third annual U.S.O. benefit dance will be held Nov. 10 at 8:30 p.m. at the American Legion home, 406 Woodstock street, Crystal Lake. The U.S.O. is a civilian organization chartered by the Congress of the United States in 1941 to provide entertainment and service to the military mainly to offset the rigors of military life. Last year the U.S.O. received well over 20 million visitations by the men, women and families of armed forces at the ninety-five clubs and facilities stateside and forty- three overseas. Audiences totaling 6V4 million saw U.S.O. shows. Debbie and Karen Freund and Mrs. Tim Freund. The new mother is the former Roxanne Freund. Parents Montini To Hold Dance The Montini Parents association is looking forward to entertain the public at a night of dancing and fun at the VFW clubhouse, Saturday night, Oct. 20, starting at 9 o'clock. The decorating committee headed by Mrs. Dolores Rogers and Mrs. Arlene Bartos are well under way with plans for a Pre-Halloween Fun Fest. The dance chairman, Mrs. Pat Coughlin, said this week that the colorful posters which are on display throughout the city were made by Montini school children. Mrs. Coughlin urges everyone to wear costumes and join in the fun but costumes are not necessary. Tickets are available at the door.
