Joseph Kulak officiated at the 3 o'clock service. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton F. Weber of 1218 W. Bay road, McHenry. The church was decorated for the occasion with flowers at the altar. They were in fall hues to match the attire of the wedding dresses. Special music included "Ave Maria" and "The Wed­ ding March". Pretty Miss Weber wore a gown of angelskin peau and chantilly lace with seed pearl embroidery. It was styled with a high neckline, full Juliet sleeves and an empire A-line silhouette skirt. Chantilly lace and seed pearls enhanced the sleeves, bodice and front of the skirt, which was hand em­ broidered by the bride's mother. To complete her en­ semble she chose a cathedral length madonna mantilla edged with chantilly lace and seed pearls. Lynn Bauer of Ringwood acted as matron of honor for her sister. Mr. Dolby, who makes his home in Bull Valley, Woodstock, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David A. Dolby of 3210 Park drive, Wonder Lake. The pretty bride selected an off-white, full length crepe dress, It was styled with square inset on the bodice of off-white, crocheted, old fashion lace. The long sleeves were also trimmed with lace. The leaguers attended the party in costume and the grand finale of the evening was the judging of costumes. Winners of the costume judging were Nancy Harper and Brian Cunat. The evening included crawling through the "Spook Tunnel", playing games, and enjoying refreshments. The next event planned by the league will be a bowling party to be held Nov. 11. The leaguers are also looking forward to the weekend winter retreat planned for the league at Lutherdale Bible camp at Elkhorn, Wis. Crackle art to macrame creations, pine cone cen­ terpieces and barnwood door decorations, patchwork wreaths and other sewing artistry is only a partial list of the many gift ideas. Hot ham sandwiches and hot dogs will be served in the kit­ chen from 11 a.m. on. In the Home Bakery corner also will be individual cartons of baked beans and a variety of preserves and jellies for "Take Home" delights. About 240 members and guests were in attendance when President Allen called the McHenry Senior Citizens club meeting to order last week. Social Chairl^dy Helen Strandquist announced that tickets for the annual Christ­ mas dinner are on sale, and will be sold on a first-come, first- served basis, as seating is limited. The Christmas dinner party will be Monday, Dec. 10, at 6:30 p.m., at East campus cafeteria. Those unable 'to attend the dinner should plan to come to the program at 7^30 p.m. Mrs. Robert Wilke is still looking for a lady to assist her in forming more sewing groups. There is a great need for the items these "sewers" are making. Mrs. Wilke read a letter of appreciation from the Pistakee Bay Nursing home for the lap robes recently delivered to them. The highlight of the meeting was the annual Halloween program given by the McHenry Senior Citizens club kitchen band - "Toe Tappin' Tunes of 1973". The program was very diversified, consisting of current tunes, old-timers, semi- classical and marches, band numbers, solos, sing-along, and the ten ladies playing on "Tea Pots". The standing ovation and thunderous applause at the end of the program attested to the fact that everyone truly en­ joyed the band. The members were very, happy to present the program to their own club. The nfext meeting of the Senior Citizens club will be Monday evening, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m., at East campus cafeteria. The McHenry Choral club will present a prevue of its Dec. 1-2 holiday program. The cast of McHenry high school's fall play, "I Remember Mama", is in the third week of rehearsals. The set is almost complete but props are still needed. Members of the cast are working hard toward per­ fecting their Norwegian accent. Theodore Tjernberg and John Wallberg of McHenry, both born and raised in Sweden, have come to rehearsals to help the cast with the Swedish dialect. Ticket sales are beginning the first week in November. Members of the cast and Drama club members will have tickets available at that time.
