VANILLA SUGAR STARS 1 standard recipe for rolled vanilla sugar cookies OR 1 package of refrigerated dough sugar cookies V3 cup milk 2 tablespoons butter 3 large Tootsie Rolls (1^4-ounce size cut in %-inch pieces 3 to 3V& cups confectioners' sugar teaspoon vanilla Prepare cookie dough and cut with star cutters. Bake according to your recipe or package directions. Let cool on baking sheet, then re­ move to wire rack to cool thoroughly. In a two-quart sauce pan, melt Tootsie Rolls with milk and butter until smooth, stirring constantly.
