Bert Hanson, administrator, said his evaluation of the pediatrics department now being expanded from six beds to twelve beds for youthful patients will take into acccount the noticeable increase in the number of pediatrics patients. ' Checking admittance records last week, Hanson noticed the hospital had been averaging fifteen pediatrics patients a day for several days, and on a Saturday in mid-November it had twenty-three pediatrics patients. Until the recent bulge in pediatrics admissions, they averaged five or six a day. In August, the monthly total was 60. for example. The youngsters are admitted into areas normally used for adults and are kept as a group of pediatrics patients, usually on the third floor where the present expansion is well under way. If studies convince him the pediatrics department should be enlarged even more, it could be increased to two dozen beds by altering areas at present reserved for adults. Presence of three full time pediatricians in Woodstock accounts for some increase, but Hanson cited a large number of youngsters with upper respiratory infections pneumonia and bronchi t i s usually associated with the bleak days of January, February and March. Other pediatrics cases range from poisoning and diarrhea to appendicitis. In the present expansion, the pediatrics department will include twelve beds and a nurse's station, complete with its own call system. This call system is wired so it is an swerable at the main nursing station on the third floor, too. He has been on the teaching staff of Trinity college in Deerfield and the Moody bible Institute in Chicago. The study will be climaxed Dec. 2 by the observance of the Passover and moving into the Lord's Supper as Jesus and the disciples did when they ob served the first Lord's Supper. Hev. Virgle Chappell of the First Baptist church said, "Everyone wants to know what the future holds for them in dividually and collectively, as the human race. Some people have their fortune told lay other people who say they have special insight, and still others try to read the stars. A proven method of knowing what the future holds has been overlooked by a large segment of the people. It is called Bible prophecy. In the Old Testament book of Joel we read, Sound the alarm in Jerusalem! Let the blast of the warning trumpet be heard upon my holy mountain! Let everyone tremble in fear, for the day of the Lord's judgment approaches.' " The public is invited to attend this prophetic study. Dr. Feinberg, as a Hebrew Christian and outstanding scholar of Bible prophecy, is considered one of the most qualified men in this area to teach the book of Joel. V.A.
