PAYTON Lakeland Park Anne Moore 385-6448 Annual Snow Ball Dinner Dance Enjoyed By Many The seventeenth annual snow ball dinner dance was held and enjoyed by approximately ninety people Saturday, Nov. 24, at the McHenry Country Club. Though my husband and I were unable to attend the word I received from some of the residents was that the event was quite a success! Everyone was very pleased with the delicious buffet dinner, the lovely prizes, pretty decorations and the good music. Les Dobbins wasn't able to attend but his wife, Mary, president of the Women's Club that sponsored the event, was very pleased her son and daughter-in-law could join her at her table. Mr. and Mrs. Emery were seated at a table with Mr. and Mrs. Denise, Edna Domrese and Adele Arndt. Sharon and John Gacek were joined by her brother, Dennis, and his wife, Bernice. They sat with Rudy and Dorothy Lense, Roger and Pat Lasko and Tony and Ceil Serritella. Dick and Bev Walinski had her folks, Bill and Gertrude Fandre, and John and Maureen Fiore came out from Chicago for the occasion and Mr. and Mrs. Kraus came from Brookfield to join the fun. They all sat with Bill and Carol Fandre, Ken and Sue Volz, Veronal and Marcella Raiford and their daughter, Lois, and her fiance, Allen Wilkening. Joyce and Ron Braun were joined at their table by Mr. and Mrs. John Oakford, Mr. and Mrs. Arroyo, Dr. and Mrs. Len Bottari and Mr. and Mrs. Gerstad of Edgebrook Heights. Those folks who attended the affair had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the delicious food as well as the dancing and appreciated all the lovely prizes. A good time was had by all and everyone extends their thanks to the ladies who helped make this year's dance such a success. THANKSGIVING FESTIVITIES Thanksgiving Day was so beautiful that I'm sure all of you enjoyed soaking up the good weather as much as eating that delicious dinner! Jerry and Elaine Worth were the host and hostess for their families. Elaine's Dad Willard Nelson (her mom was unable to attend), her sister Lavergne and her husband, Burt Hagemann, and their children joined Jerry's parents, Ralph and Gertrude of Broadview, his sister and her husband, Susan and Paul Skultety, and his brother, Richard, for the delicious dinner prepared by Elaine. Little Stephanie and Jennifer were very excited and enjoyed all the attention they received! Everyone had a most enjoyable visit! John, Sharon and little Jay Gacek ventured into Chicago for the day and spent it visiting with Sharon's parents. They too enjoyed their turkey dinner and enjoyed visiting their Chicago relatives! Jerry Treadwell gave Penny the day off and took her and their two daughters, Susan and Patty, to a local restaurant where they enjoyed their holiday dinner! Dick, Bev and Linda Walinski drove into Chicago and celebrated the day with Bev's folks, Bill and Gertrude Fan­ dre. Bill and Carol Fandre and their children and Ken and Sue Voltz and their children joined Dick and Bev and their folks home for their delicious dinner! We also drove into Chicago for the day and visited Steve's folks in the afternoon. His sister was home from Macomb for the holdiay and we enjoyed the visit. We ate a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings at my folks' home. My two sisters Pat and Mary, were also there and of course so was Pat's husband, Ron, and their baby, Christie.
