Churches Herald Birth Of Christ With Special Rites McHenry area churches are making preparations for Christmas services heralding the birth of the Christ Child. ST. MARY At St. Mary Catholic church, there will be midnight Mass Christmas eve, preceded at 11:15 by a carol program. Masses Christmas day will be at 6:30, 8, 9:30, 9:45, 10:45, 11 and noon. The confession schedule lists Friday, Dec. 21, after the 8 a.m. Mass, Saturday after the 8 a.m. Mass and 4 to 5 p.m., Sunday, 4 to 5 p.m. and Monday, following the 8 a.m. Mass and 3 to 5 p.m. There will be no evening confessions.
