Waubonsee behind the torrid shooting of Leo Grimes, All American candidate who tallied 41 points, jumped out in front at the opening whistle and were never headed by the Scots. Staying within 10 points till the last 3 minutes of the first half, the Scots saw Waubonsee hit 4 field goals in a row and suddenly they failed by 18 points going into the in­ termission. Although far behind the Scots never stopped hustling and played their foes almost even for the last 20 minutes. Wes Wittmus led the Scots scoring with 21 points. Dale Groskinsky contributed 18 points and 17 rebounds and Joe Dehn returned to action with 12 counters.
