Cast Describes Feelings About "South Pacific" "It' going to be a good show; funny, yet at the same time, serious". This is how Mike Cajthaml described the progress of McHenry Community high school's musical, "South Pacific". "I'm very glad I became involved with "South Pacific", Mike says. "I enjoy being in front of people, and I feel that the part of Emile de Becque is one I can do a good job with, and enjoy doing it at the same time." His thoughts are echoed by Anita Arndt who says, "Since sophomore year I have been involved in plays; this year, as a lead, it is even more exciting. Hie part of Bloody Mary is a challenge for me because it requires a Polynesian accent and a weight gain of 200 pounds! I urge everyone to come. It is a play that the audience can enjoy immensely." David Sweeney, as Captain Brackett, tells what it is like on that island paradise in the Pacific: "South Pacific" is a story that works on both a war and romance level, with its light-hearted moments. In my part, the war is the most important factor, but each character experiences his or her own focal point of life on a South Pacific island. All of us are enjoying our roles, and we will enjoy them even more if the audience enjoys them, too." All this enthusiasm will certainly make "South Pacific" an enjoyable night's entertainment. Performances will be April 4, 5, 6 and 7 at 8 in West campus auditorium. Tickets are available now from any cast member, or can be purchased at the door. It is advisable, however, to purchase tickets in advance and avoid the large crowds that M c H e n r y ' s m u s i c a l productions usually draw. RAY J. MILLER Ray J.
