Progress has been forthcoming from the , efforts of Fred Schmidt and Ed Piatt. The exterior plywood was donated by a local Lumber company and has been cut into signs already. Painting procedures are now being carried on with the best of care. Lettering and posts are the next projects on which help is needed. If you could be of any assistance and could produce efficient lettering at a low cost please contact our president. New signs are needed for residents as well as visitors to find your home. Police, fire, and die rescue squad need to have a direct route to any emergency. These signs are valuable assets to our subdivision. Please donate your time in any way you can. The next association meeting is Saturday, May 11, at 4:30 p.m. Please make a note to be there! CLUB MEETS The Women's auxiliary of West Shore Beach welcomes all ladies of the community to their next meeting at the home of Mrs. Otto, 5509 Orchardway drive on Thursday evening, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. Young women are needed to organize and begin new projects for our community. The main goal of the club is to improve the beach. We also want to provide more social activities for the youngsters, but we need more help. Please try to come and enjoy an evening with your neighbor ladies. COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE Dawn Jaburek, daughter of Mrs. Dolores Jaburek, will travel to Champaign-Urbana on May 3 as a State Student Council representative from Parkland school. Hopefully about twenty youngsters will be making the trip to visit the University of Illinois campus and meet with various other ^student councils in the state. This is an important learning experience for Dawn and those students involved. Have a nice time everyone! BUSY GARDENERS George and Anna Schmidt from 5422 Highland have been preparing the earth again for a blooming summer. Each year they could win the flower show * award for the loveliest yard in the subdivision. Let's all try to add some color to that vacant spot along the house or yard. You'll be proud of it!
