It was a close game with Crown pushing across a run in the first and again in the third inning. The Warriors managed their only run, in the 4th. Steve Himpelmann went all the way and took his second loss of the season. He gave up 4 hits, walked 2 and struck out 5. Again a lack of clutch hitting hurt the Warriors. They left 8 men on base, and had the bags loaded in the bottom of the 7th, but couldn't get a run across the plate. The loss drops the Warriors to a conference record of 4 and 5. Tomorrow they journey to North Chicago for a pair of games. On Monday Dundee remained undefeated by nipping the Warriors 163 to 164. Marty Zeller led the locals with a 38. Kenne Ludwig had a 40, Bobby Buss 42, and Chuck Jesky 44. On Tuesday Libertyville won by a score of 176 to 178. Jim Burke had a 40, and Marty Zeller carded a 42. The sophomores won their two matches to remain undefeated for the season. Sophs Beat Crown Ball Team 4-1 WOMEN'S SOFTBALL McHenry Women's Softball League is now in the process of' organization.
