Little Jeffrey (J-J) Heuer had one candle on his special birthday cake last Sunday, May 5. Dad and Mom, George and Mary Beth, entertained relatives and friends in their home in honor of his special day. Georgie, Kristie and Bethie had fun sharing J-J's excitement and enjoyed all the attention they received from their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bertucci, and Great- grandmother Sophie Andersen, who all drove out from Chicago for the celebration. Other guests at the Heuer home included Aunt Mary and Uncle Dennis Heuer, Marie Socha of Cicero, Herb and JoAnn Lakemacher of Buffalo Grove, Ruth and John Cox from Streamwood, Jim Cox and his children, Rayni and Mark, Linda Marzullo and her children, Carol and Davie, and Ray Stacey and his son, Stevie. Everyone had a most enjoyable visit and enjoyed helping J-J celebrate his very first birthday! Belated birthday wishes are extended to little one-year-old J-J! A SPECIAL DAY! Seven-year-old Maureen Serritella had a very special day last Sunday. Maureen received her First Holy Communion at the 9:45 a.m. Mass at St. Patrick's church. Dad and Mom, Tony and Ceil, and the Serritella children, Tim, Cecila, Edward and Elizabeth, were at the service to share Maureen's excitement. Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Brown of Western Springs and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Serritella of Forest Park were also at the Mass to see Maureen receive her First Communion. Tony and Ceil then entertained several friends and relatives at their home. Everyone enjoyed the delicious dinner and were glad they were able to celebrate Maureen's special day. Relatives who were here for the day's festivities included Mr. and Mrs. Sam Serritella, Jr., of Riverside, Mr. and Mrs. Schildgen and their children from Oak Park and Mr. and Mrs. Kal Bantner and their daughter. The Serritellas were especially pleased that Father Michael Douglas attended Maureen's First Holy Communion party. Our best wishes are extended to Maureen in honor of this very special day in her life. ENGAGED! Mrs. Joanne Plucinski has been beaming with pride lately and it's because of a little 6 lb., 6 oz., 19 " baby, who was born April 10. Shane's proud and very excited parents are Steven and Janet Plucinski who make their home in Alden. Shane's maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Franklyn Provow, also of Alden.
