Art students from Marian recently visited the Art institute of Chicago for a field experience where they worked on an assignment which was geared to each level of art instruction experience. Art instructor Victor Meuch headed the field trip. Ham Is A Favorite One reason ham is a favorite of the economy minded woman is because it goes a long, long way.. After making its first grand table appearance, its budget- stretching leftovers mean more meals that otherwise would have to come from a new meat pur chase. Next time you have ham leftover from dinner, couple it in a casserole with lima beans and cream-style corn and crown with corn muffin batter before baking. This southern-style one- dish meal rates high in appeal. spurgeons STORE HOURS: Moru-Fn. 8:30-8:30 I Saturday 8:30-6:00 ; ¥ Sunday 10:00-5:00 \ SWIMSIJIT PRICES TAKE A SOAKING .«>% on 7 THIS WEEK ONLY 850 1A20 Reg. 11.99 IV Reg. 12.99 Everybody into the pool on Memorial Day weekend-- choose your summer swim wardrobe right now at big savings! HELP PROGRAM May 15 program consisted of a movie on fractures, simple (or closed) and compound (or open), how to splint them and apply traction if necessary. The evening's program also consisted of a review of the treatment of accidental ova-doses of poisons or drugs. Following last Wednesday evening's class everyone had birthday cake and coffee in honor of President Hyatt's birthday. Tonight's (May 22) program will consist of treatments of bun* and common injuries. There Were twenty-two in attendance last week. LILYMOOR WOMEN'S AUXILIARY This organization came to an end May 1974. The auxiliary began in I960. Many members came and went, some of the original members were still with the club when it disbanded. During the past years there were work times, happy times, fun time and near crying times. Anyone belonging to any organization for any length of time will know exactly what I meant by that last statement. I for one was very sorry to see it come to an end, but to my way of thinking the club had gone past its time of being useful..It was next to impossible to get many of the young people of Lilymoor interested in joining the auxiliary and taking part in the projects necessary to help beautify and improve the subdivision; and so to the Lilymoor Women's auxiliary of the Lilymoor Assocation I say "Hail and Farewell." MOTHERS DAY CELEBRATION Mrs. Robert Hicks of Bensenville held a family get- together. Twelve guests all related were in attendance, the hostess of the happy occasion is the sister of Mrs. Henry Krumweide who was one of the guests. FAMILY GATHERING Mothers Day weekend was rather hectic in the Hueckstaedt, Sr., household. We had company from Michigan, Indiana, and Chicago. Our get-together was combination business and pleasure. All totaled there was twenty-four of us altogether. Plans are in the making for a family reunion (come to think of it I've almost had it here, because it will be the difference of twenty-four to thirty-one. Those present here were my sister, Mrs. Robert Russell, and her son and daughter, Bob and Brenda, from Bellevue, Mich., Mrs. Russell's daughter and husband, Marian and Tom Ross, from LaPorte, Ind. My older sister, Iva, and her fiance, Duane Bradt of Chicago, and my married children and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hertel and Patty and Michael, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Mumma and Steve, Chris, and Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Dutch Hueckstaedt, Jr., and Bobbie and Tracy and my husband, Bud, and our younger son, Rusty, and myself.
