Saturday the Astors pitcher, Russ Oziminski, went up against the Indians' Sean Duffy. The Indians jumped to an early lead led by Jeff Roberts' homerun blast. Guest speakers at the 1974 dinner will be George Kelly, defensive coach at Notre Dame University. Coach Kelly will also be showing films of the 1974 Sugar Bowl game that saw Notre Dame defeat Alabama for the national title. Rick Tally, the popular Sports Editor of Chicago Today, will also be on the rostrum. Rick will be discussing the highlights of covering the "beat" of college and professional sports. The ever-popular "Josh" Brady of WlVS Radio (Crystl Lake) will again be the master of ceremonies. Tee-off times begin at 7:30 A.M. and will continue throughout the day. This tournament is under the aegis of Northern Illinois Women's Golf Association and promises to bring out some of the best and most exciting amateur women golfers of the state. Defending champion is Cathy Sharpenter. Either in spite of or because of the heavy rains this Spring - and the expert greenskeeping crew under Harold Michels - McHenry Country Club Golf Course is in excellent, lush condition and should prove to be a fine challenge to the many women who will be participating in Monday's tournament. McHenry Players On All Conference Baseball Team Two Marian Central Catholic high school baseball players have recently been named to the Suburban Catholic Conference Western Division All-Conference baseball team, Senior Mark Davis and Junior Mitch Przetacznik, both of McHenry, were tabbed by league coaches for this honor after outstanding seasons with the Marian Hurricanes. Davis was the number one pitcher on the Marian team with a 3-2 record. Przetacznik earned the regular shortstop this year and responded by also leading the Hurricanes with the highest batting percentage.
