Hosting the occasion were the couple's children, Diane, Patty and David. Earl J. Wyman of Delafield, Wis., best man at their wedding, was among ^he guests present. Katy's sister, Mrs. Clifford Rasmussen of Sheridan, Wyo., served as maid-of-bonor but was unable to be present on this occasion. ABOUTTOWN Mr. and Mrs. Merv Huff of Richmond and their children, Dawn, Angel, and Tommy, were recent guests in the Brennan-Hepburn home. Mrs. Hepburn's sister and brother-in-law, the Russell Soddys of Kenosha, spent the wekend here. Mr. and Mrs. John Blackman of Antioch were Sunday evening guests. Keith Klapperich and Janet Blackmon visited Aunt" Nellie Monday afternoon. $ Frank and Lil Visconti spent the weekend at Wisconsin Dells. There was quite a bit of storm damage in the area last week from the storm that went through. Trees down across the road and into people's yards and onto porches causing quite a lot of heartaches. Andreas' front porch had a tree on it, Larry Lehmkuhls had limbs across their back porch, and of course others thai yours truly didn't know about directly. Are you a sky watcher??? Well last week lots of folks did just that. They sky watched to see that they weren't dreaming. They saw a large green balloon in the sky and two people in it, and it traveled from south of McHenry to north of our fair town, didn't hear where it landed but guess if you are the adventurous type of person these balloons can be rented by the hour in Fox River Grove or Cary area. The Garth Kenney family, was unfortunate to have a barn destroyed by fire on their property last Saturday with quite a loss. CHICKEN BARBECUE The plans for the annual chicken barbecue is in full swing at the Ringwood Methodist church. The date is Sunday, July 21, and you will find that we haven't raised our price on our dinner so do plan on bringing the family out for a4 delicious and reasonably priced Sunday dinner. More details next week. Oh yes we have a program committee that has been hard at work and they have a big program planned for all of us under the BIG TOP on Saturday night, July 20, at 7:30 p.m. Do plan on bringing the kiddies and aunts and uncles and grandma anthgrandpa out for the evening's enter­ tainment. See you July 20 and 21. Mark your calendar. FESTIVAL PARTICIPANTS - The Knights drum and bugle corps of Geneseo, 111., are entering their eighth year of competition. It is made up of Western Illinois youngsters who have gained national recognition for their distinctive style both in uniform and music. The Knights were national finalists in both V.F.W. and American Legion in 1972, and have placed in the top twenty in the last two drum corps international contests. Hie field program this year consists of selections from Neil Diamond's "Jonathon Livingston Seagull, Latin numbers, "Momotombo" and "Flamenco Cha Cha" and a new arrangement of their theme, "If Ever I Would Leave You". He is improving and would still like to hear from friends by way of cards. Vince Tonyan, Room 412 Woodstock Memorial Hospital. MariOn Winters had surgery on Monday of this week so how about cards to her too wishing her a speedy recovery. She is also at Woodstock.
