Pregnant women and small children are turned away or forced to wait. The line extends outside -- or the full length of the concession area (which really ought to be adequately separated from rest areas). New construction should include larger facilities with a waiting room with chairs; a minimum of one private unit with toilet, sink, and changing table for babies; as well as one unit equipped for the handicapped. "2-1 often wonder if it ever occurs to those testing our McHenry city beach water. that it might be a whole lot cleaner in that precise area if rest rooms were constructed on the beach? While I do not swim at the beach, I am concerned about water conditions (in part because I live on the river -- downstream), and I doubt that anyone would deny the probability that small children relieve themselves in the swimming area regularly - in their eyes, no better place is provided. "3-Finally, are we totally devoid of facilities in the city park too? Or are they merely so small and well hidden that I have yet to notice them? "People are important, too -- it shouldn't be necessary for private citizens such as myself* bring up problems such as these -- but I hope that there are others who will mention the specific areas they have seen in need of additional facilities.
