Gene Simes, Hebron, center, is the reelected director of the Federal Land Bank association of DeKalb-Woodstoek, chosen to serve for a three-year term at the annual meeting last week. With him are Bill Hahn, associate manager at the Woodstock office, and Frank Meyers, president from Belvidere. (DON PEASLEY PHOTOGRAPHY) Federal Land Bank Service Told At Meet The availability of money during the tight money market situation has enabled the Federal Land Bank system to provide outstanding service to agriculture, John Webb, manager of the FLBA of DeKalb-Woodstock, said last week. Reporting to 400 stockholders and guests present, Webb said the farmers are in urgent need of money to expand in order to meet the growing demand to provide food, for the world and to combat effects on their business caused by continued inflation. ' ' E x p a n s i o n o f mechanization and a reduction in labor on the farm requires much greater capitalization and the resultant need for more money," he continued. Tremendous increase in land values has pushed up the demand for funds. The many factors combined to increased mortgage loans outstanding from 873 to 909 and the amount loaned from $30'2 million to $39' 2 million for the respective fiscal years ending June 30, 1973 and June 30, 1974. New business activity for comparable periods shows intense demand the past fiscal year-from almost $6 million a year ago to almost $12 million ending June 30, 1974. Average loan totaled $75,000, Webb summarized. The interest rate has been kept within a reasonable area- under 9 percent -- because of the scope of the Federal Land Bank of St. Louis which services three states and which has been obtaining money and loaning it for more than fifty years. In the election of directors, Edward Arndt, Malta, and Gene Simes, Hebron, were each re-elected for a three-year term. The Federal Land Bank association of DeKalb- Woodstock was formed last September in a merger and the first annual meeting was held last December. Also elected at this year's annual meeting were six people to serve as member of a nominating committee: Wilder Fay, Waterman; Virgil Larson, Malta; George Tindall, Kirkland; Donald McKee, Marengo; Robert Blake, Garden Prairie, and Charles Dooley, Gurnee. John Bridger, Clare, was chairman of the nominating committee. Frank Meyers, president form Belvidere, presided at this annual meeting. Webb reported the association will add a new fieldman at its Geneva office to handle increased business and to provide adequate trained personnel for services farmers require. Bill Hahn is the associate manager and Mrs. Helen Cox, DeKalb, Mrs. Faye Todd, Woodstock, and Mrs. Margaret Jaschob, Geneva, serve as assistant managers. The new association opened an office at Geneva to service farmers in the Kane county- eastern McHenry county area Legal Notice IN THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE 19TH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT, McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS PROBATE DIVISION ESTATE OF Amanda R.
