Village of Sunnyside Evelyn Sandeli . 385-2696 Scribe Lists Correct Number For Phone Calls' I was wondering why no one called to tell me any news of the village when my husband noticed the number was wrong in the paper -- my number is 385-2696 not 2096 NEW RESIDENTS We want to welcome all the new residents who have moved into the village. We have a few new ones on Sunnyside drive that I know of. BIRTHDAY Jerry Ripley had a birthday last week and his mother prepared a delicious dinner for the family and his grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kunkel. LADIES MEET The Bunco ladies met last week and had a wonderful time as usual. If you hear a lot of noise on a Tuesday afternoon - it's only the ladies. NEW SIGNS My husband Bill, Trustee Bill Mitchell and his son, Trustee Butch Nowak, and the Mayor, Jim Eichhorn, put up all the new signs in the village last Saturday. I believe these folks deserve a vote of gratitude for taking the time to volunteer their services to do this for us. DAMAGED URILL If anyone knows who painted the bowling ball white and rolled it down Broadway the other day please let me know. In case they don't realize it, they sure wrecked my friend's grill on his car. Can you imagine coming down the street to see a white object coming at you, you stop your car thinking it's a beach ball and then to your surprise when it comes in contact with your car, it's a hard bowling ball, that really messes up your grill. Now my friend must use his collision insurance to repair his car, because there was no one to be found that could have thrown the ball -- oh what a sense of humor! I want to keep our little village in the paper but I need help -- any news is better than none 4-H NEWS CHERRY VALLEY CLUB The Cherry Valley 4-H'ers last meeting was Oct. 18 at the Davis home. The president, Bill Schmuhl, called the meeting to order. The pledges were led by Robin Schmuhl. Secretary Tammy Schiller read the minutes and then took roll. Then Neil Wright gave the balance. Under new- business, we discussed having parliamen tary procedure as standard meeting procedure. We debated extensively and when it was put to a vote it was rejected. The meeting was then ad journed and games and refreshments followed. The next meeting will be held at the Farm Bureau Nov. 15. Instead of having a regular meeting we will have Achievement night.
