The Lows, Freunds and the Grahams went last weekend to the Chain-O-Lakes State Park for that beautiful weekend and lo and behold they weren't the only ones taking advantage of the beautiful sunshine, the Paul Walkingtons were also there. Twas a relaxin' weekend, rain and all on Sunday. WARNING If you are one of the folks having a garage sale and you are using a fancy garage sale sign take it in at night. It has been reported to us that these sort of signs disappear when left out, in fact one has come up missing in the area at this t ime and this person thought it wise for folks to realize that even garage signs aren't safe left out at night. ABOUT TOWN Things haven't been too busy around town this past week, but Mr and Mrs. Russell Soddy of Kenosha, Mrs. Laursen of Antioch, Jack Mough of Detroit , Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Jensen of Lakemoor stopped to visit with Nellie Hepburn this past weekend. I 'm sure that they all had a very nice visit . We are very sorry that l i t t le Jennifer Bauer will be in the hospital for some time. Although she will be in the hospital for a long time, and has received many cards, she will enjoy any card that we have the time to send. The Moughs again this year have outdone themselves for Halloween. If anyone hasn't seen the cage for wildmen, the guillotine, the bed of spikes, owl bats and all that goes with the scene, you have missed a treat of the season. There was a slight traffic jam in our li t t le town, with all the sightseers. Thanks for the "Treat" so to speak Bob Mough's father Jack is visiting with him and the family for a time. And lo and MOTORISTS ROBBED BY GAS THIEF Motorists are being robbed by a sly thief who steals gas while they drive. The culprit is a dirty carbur etor, which wastes pre cious fuel and causes poor engine performance. Now you can restore efficiency thanks to WYN'N'S Carbur etor Cleaner. This special spray formula works with out dismantling to instantly remove gum and varnish, curb rough idling and stal ling, as it increases mile age. So for happier motor ing, get WYNN'S Carbur etor Cleaner today. 4400 W. Rte. 120 McHenry, Il l inois 47 & Country Club Kd., ^Woodstoch^^ behold who else came for a visit? Well, Lois 's mother Lorraine Loftus of Erie, Penn.. is staying for a week's visit . Oops almost forgot, Bob's dad is from Detroit , Mich. SCAVENGER HUNT The hunt was held by Sue and Ed Erwin of Johnsburg, and a super great t ime was had by all as they said. The people were just great when they came knocking on the door for a cookie, and hair from the horse's tail and the poor bewildered policeman whom they stopped so they could hay^~ his signature. This couple put in a lot of t ime and effort making sure Halloween would be exciting for everyone As you enter their yard a form of a man caught in a spider web greets you. But travel on and a beheaded creature along with a caged Frankenstein, a very ugly green faced witch, bats and scary sounds seem to be in your path. By now your blood runs cold so turning to leave you see a casket fil led with leaves and a body. But you know it 's only a dummy so on you go only to have it jump up at you and scream in your face. Bob and Lois, we certainly enjoyed it . A Shaky Spectator THE MEASURE OF QUALITY Celebrating fair 60th Amtarsary!
