^Lakeland Park Anne Moore 385-6448 Thanksgiving Fun Shared By Many Families Harold and Margaret Boelter enjoyed having several of their children home for a visit and delicious dinner on Thanksgiving day. Doris, Peggy, Sandy, Harold, Gary, Mary and Steve were happy to see their sisters and brother for the special festivities enjoyed at their home. Donna was home from the university at Car- bondale and brought her roommate Caudida whose home is Venezuela. "Candy" enjoyed her visit with the Boelter family and was especially thrilled to see snow for the first time. Other guests included the Boelters' daughters and their husbands: Connie and Randy Springer from Dixon, Ina and Arnie Hoyt and Shirley and Mike Harm from Harvard; and the Boelters' son, David, and his wife, Penny, from Rolling Meadows. Peggy Boelter's friend, Jerry, was also one of the guests who enjoyed the delicious dinner. Everyone h^ a fun visit and it was indeed a happy Thanksgiving day and fun weekend for the Harold Boelter family. Jerry and Elaine Worth entertained family and friends at their home Thanksgiving day. Stephanie and Jennifer had fun playing with their cousins and enjoyed meeting another new friend. Guests included Jerry's folks, Ralph and Gertrude Worth and his brother, Richard; Elaine's parents, Willard and Esther Nelson; Elaine's cousin, Bob Fogli from Chicago, Elaine's sister, LaVerne Hagemann, and her children, Scott, Becky and Matt, and LaVerne's friends, Jack and Mrs. Dee Gogin and her daughter, Debbie. Everyone was happy to be together to share the Thanksgiving celebration at the home of Jerry and Elaine Worth. The Gacek family was happy to have relatives drive out for the day from Chicago and Buffalo Grove to enjoy their Thanksgiving festivities. Sharon's folks, Robert and Irene DeSilva and their daughter, Donna, drove out "with Aunt Nora DeSilva. Helen and Stanley Wrona and their daughter, Alysia, visited from Buffalo Grove and Sharon's brother, Dennis Kurowski, and his wife, Bernice, were also guests at the Gacek home. Everyone had a fun visit and enjoyed the delicious meal John and Sharon provided. Little Antoinette and her big brother, Jay, enjoyed the ex­ citement at their home, too! Ron and Joyce Braun were pleased that their family gathered at their home to share a delicious meal and day of Thanksgiving. Gregg, Cindy and Andy were happy Gary and his wife Gail and their baby and Gayle and Rick Glos and their sons were able to spend the happy day back at home. Joyce's mom, Mrs. Thompson, was also a guest who enjoyed celebrating the holiday with her daughter's family. Roy and Joan Apel and their daughter, Linda, traveled to Chicago to the heme of Joan's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Piekarski, to celebrate Thanksgiving. Joan's brother Bob and his wife, Rosalie, and their children, Debbie and Michael, were also guests who enjoyed the delicious dinner and fun visit to the Piekarski residence. Tony and Cecilia Serritella drove to Oak Park with their children, Tim, Elizabeth, Cecilia, Edward and Maureen, for their Thanksgiving festivities. Everyone enjoyed the visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schildgen (Cecilia's sister) and in all approximately twenty-three relatives and friends enjoyed the feast and fun provided at the Schildgen home. We celebrated Thanksgiving day in Chicago where we visited both Steve's and my parents. Our delicious turkey dinner was served at my parents' home and our entire family was there to once again enjoy mom's cooking. My^ sister, Pat, and her husband/ Ron, and their daughter, Christie, were there from Rosemont and our sister, Mary, also spent the day along with her friend, Kathy. CONGRATULATIONS! Congratulations are in order for Mr. and Mrs. Robert Faunt who are excited and proud of the arrival of their grandson, Jason Patrick. Jason made his debut Nov. 20 and was 7 lbs., 8 oz., when his proud parents, Patrick and Barbara, first saw him. Happy maternal grand­ parents are Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Albright and the very pleased great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Peter J. Schaefer. Our sincere wishes for happiness are extended to the Faunt family and welcome to baby Jason Patrick! BOWLING UP-DATE! My apologies to the Lakeland Park Fun league bowlers for no column last week as I missed reporting the up-date of your team standings. So a little late, here they are: The first place team is the High Rollers who are followed by the Lakers. 7-up are in third place and the Streakers hold fourth place. Far Out Four hold fifth place and are followed by the Boozers who hold sixth place. The seventh place team is the Aces and we find the Four Aces in eighth place. The Pin Busters are in ninth place followed by the Left-overs who hold tenth place. The Bozos are in eleventh place and the twelfth place team is the Eight- Balls. Don Mercure leads the rpen with a 576 for high series scratch and Joanne Gilbert heads the women in the same category with a 551. The Szekeres hold the high series with handicap position for the league, John with a 649 and Janice with a 636. Tom Michaelson bowled a 238 to hold the high game scratch position and Wendy Glosson leads the ladies with a 178. When last the bowlers met they competed for turkeys and the pinners were: Janice Szekeres who bowled her 636 high series with handicap, and Ralph Justen who bowled a 639, Don Mercure who led with a high game of 210 and Joanne Gilbert who bowled a 192. The postal dates to insure delivery of our packages and Christmas cards have been announced and you might make a note that packages should be mailed no later than Dec. 10 and cards should be mailed by Dec. 15 The regular monthly recycling drive held at the Market place will be held next week on Saturday, Dec. 14, so as to avoid the Christmas shoppers who will no doubt be visiting the Market place at the last minute the weekend before Christmas. All sewer hook-ups must be made by Dec. f8 CRAFT-SOCIAL CLUB LIVES! Am surprised to hear that many of you gals thought our newly formed craft-social club flopped. Not so! We meet each Tuesday evening and take turns being hostess with other members of the club. If you'd like further information do give Sharon Gacek or me a call. Congratulations to Clarence and Eleanor Hearle who celebrated their twenty-ninth wedding anniversary Nov. 29 with their good friends, Bob and Terri Hap. Six months of planning and a busy telephone came to an end last Friday night when we attended my ten year reunion from St. Benedict high school in Chicago. Three of us committee members worked long and hard but had lots of fun planning the gala event, which was quite a success We had 101 of 185 graduates in attendance and our former dean, Fr. Arthur Krueger (now head of CCD for the Chicago Metropolitan area), honored us with his appearance as did Sister Ethel Grace Wayerski who traveled from Milwaukee to join us. Everyone enjoyed renewing old acquaintances and we all had fun remembering the "good old days." CHRISTMAS CONCERT On Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m. the Northern Illinois Choral association will present its eleventh annual Christmas concert at St. Thomas the Apostle church, Oak street and Rt. 176, Crystal Lake, Illinois.
